October weddings were in full swing this past weekend. The weather was truly beautiful, as we had couples from Australia, Belgium, Italy, Spain and several from Ireland. The globe was well represented as the weather here in sunny Las Vegas was willing to cooperate for these wonderful couples. I just wanted to post some photos for those of you that have been here, or for those of you that are wondering where to find the fabulous and the fun. It;s at Viva Las Vegas Weddings. Why, we even had a couple from Indonesia, that was a first for me. Once again, I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I have enjoyed photographing my fabulous couples and their fun family and friends.
October weddings are off to a big start at Viva Las Vegas Weddings. 10-1-11 was another very busy day full of happy Brides and Grooms strolling the grounds at Viva Las Vegas. These numeric configurations for weddings have been extremely successful for all in the wedding biz.
Besides the memorable date, “I do” ( ha -no punn intended), believe these handsome Grooms along with their gorgeous Brides will always remember their anniversaries and share with many others an awesome date to remember.
It is truly an honor to be able to escort so many Brides & Grooms to the chapel and share in their beautiful days. Driving my couples back in the limousine I get to hear how pleased couples are with their ceremonies and it is most rewarding.
I am so excited to bring you…The art of the Bride. I am a huge fan of the reality show~”LA INK,” since I am a native of Southern California. I just don’t know how I’ll fill my tattoo love tank since Kat Von D will no longer be on the air. Arghhhhhh.
I can’t say I have any tattoos- however, I am obsessed with them. I just think that tattoos speak volumes. They are interpreted one way by the viewer, but their true stories can only be spoken by those that display them so beautifully.
I love my job here at the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel and I get to see artwork ( my opinion ) from all over the world on any given day here. I have taken a bit of time to photograph some Brides tatts in hopes that you too, will enjoy them.
Thanks to all of the really cool Brides that displayed their tatts for my blog-you really rock! Perhaps I’ll look into Miami Ink? What do ya think? Anyone? Hello? Hello?
Yeowwwwww~ Terek and Jadie were hit with cupids arrow! The story is that these lovebirds met at a birthday party. It is obvious once you meet this sweet couple that love was definately in the air from the minute that they met. I had the pleasure of escorting them to the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel in my bright white limousine just the other night to “get married in Vegas.” It is exhilarating to be around a couple that is so in love-the energy is always so contagious.

This lovely Bride opted for the first look in her wedding package. This is where the Bride is hidden from her Groom up until the actual moment that she walks down the aisle. The Groom and his Best Man were picked up in one limousine and the beautiful Bride and her Maid of Honor were picked up in a seperate limousine for that wonderful element of surprise. Jadie & Terek you are my Bride pick of the week-Thank you for sharing your love story with me. Wishing you both every bit of happiness today & always.
In honor of our guest for our local radio show this week I would like not only to honor a wonderful Las Vegas Gourmet Cake Master, but the cake as well. Tune in to your radio with us to learn all about the art of the wedding cake with Dominque and your host Brian Mills and Yours Truly. Don’t forget the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Show will be live on the radio Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. (Pacific Time). We invite you to listen in or call in to the show. We’d love to hear from you. You may listen online also, at www.klav1230am.com
Let me begin by saying…I LOVE CAKE! The popularity of shows like Cake Boss are really upping the ante’ on the wedding cake business. You see designs that are just out of this world and I understand the requests can be crazy as well. I cannot wait to hear Dominques craziest cake request. Oh, and the most popular flavor and well, I’d best stop there before I go into a cake frenzy and have to have some before I proceed.
The wedding cake tradition dates back to the Roman Empire. Now it was a bit (a lotta bit) different than you would expect. It began as a loaf of bread, not actually cake. Now here’s the part where it gets whacky to the Bride and the bread-heyyy. The Groom would take the loaf of bread and break it over his Brides head to symbolize his dominance over her. Ouchhhhh
I’d rather be clubbed and dragged by my hair, than waste good bread or cake for that matter. However, I am glad to see that tradition has evolved, and it is now a sweet treat shared at the wedding reception with your one and only and your family and friends.
If a cake is in your future I encourage you to order a cake through the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel where Dominque will make you a cake that will make you salivate and want to lick your fingers.Mmmmmmmmm~
You may also go to his website by clicking on this link: www.tgcf.com Dominique is one of the finer Pastry Chefs in the city and his fabulous cakes are gourmet all the way. I encourage you to have your cake and eat it too-ha!
* The cakes appearing in this Blog are sample cakes by Chef Dominique~ooh la la
One for the money, two for the show, three to get ready and come to a Rockabilly Show…
Come join Viva Las Vegas Weddings at the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender for an outrageously fun Rockabilly weekend. The grand event starts for us on April 23rd and Elvis will be in attendance. It is at the Orleans Gambling Hall and Casino from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00p.m.
Elvis was better known as the “Hillbilly Cat” when he first started performing. He was a Rockabilly star who had that sexy hip swivel and good looks to match. Elvis was, and is always a shoe-in for the ladies to come out in droves.
So, we look forward to seeing you at the Orleans and joining Elvis as he performs wedding ceremonies and vow renewals for many Rockabilly hotties. There will be hot cars, hot gals and hot guys to gawk at, with plenty of food and beer to go around.
Rockabilly wedding specials will also run throughout the weekend at the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel at 1205 Las Vegas Blvd, 89104 or you may book your wedding by calling us direct at 702-384-0771. Best wishes and happy ever after!
