The Suite is amazing with a Pink Cadillac coming out of the wall and the gates of Graceland surounding you. There is a large lit up mirror and artist chairs for that special movie set feeling too. The gals enjoyed a light lunch and were ready to get glammed up. Our artistry team then began their beautiful work of hair and makeup for all of the girls in the wedding party. These gals were transformed into rockabilly babes! You can see that for yourselves in the photo below. Kristine our beautiful Bride was a sight indeed! She was so happy and she really felt like her wedding was turned into a great day event which made it that more special. It’s always so rewarding to hear that from a Bride. The guys rocked it too, in colorful bowling type shirts. They looked great. Oh, and when Elvis walked the Bride down the aisle….the guests wailed. Well it’s one for the money, two for the show! It really was a show with our Rockabilly Elvis wedding. Ian and Kristine you were a big hit! Best wishes to you both on behalf of the staff at Viva Las Vegas Weddings.”Viva Vegas” is all I can say. Everyone had so much fun including me! Elvis & Company...

It was the fabulous wedding of the Beauty and the Biker! So, here we are at the World Famous Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel with two more “I-Do’s.” Tiffany and Chris came to the Chapel to get married from Oregon. They wanted to make thier wedding memorable….So, Elvis was the way to go for them. It’s been 9 years since the date was pre-set. Chris could not resist Tiffanys charm. Just a couple of lookers making it official here at the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. There were butterflies in the air and the weather was perfect! A handful, and then some of Chris’ and Tiffanys’ family and friends all made their way to the Elvis Chapel to witness their marriage.

With a license to ride and a marriage license in hand, Chris said “I Do” to his lovely Bride Tiffany. They had so many friends and family here to share in their joy. I am certain that once they announced that the wedding would be in Las Vegas, that no one could resist. The RSVP’s were many.They were surrounded by so much love. Chris and Tiffany really did remind me of Elvis and Priscilla. Mind you, Elvis really was a blonde. What a great looking couple! Wishing you both every bit of happiness you can stand! They topped their night off by riding off into the night to Larrys Hideway here in Las Vegas. Do you suppose they had Breakfast at Tiffanys the next morning? Just another classic Elvis wedding here at The Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. Thanks to you both, and your super family and friends. It seemed fitting that on the August 16th departure anniversary of Elvis Presley, Natalie and Sameer chose a “Dead Elvis Wedding” in August. So,who doesn’t miss Elvis? Having the wedding in Las Vegas was a dream come true for the Mother of the Bride also~ Our Liz Taylor mother look alike had always dreamed of coming to Las Vegas. She really did look like Liz Taylor! It too, was a dream come true and a special day for her. Thank you all for the fun fright night. Until next week. They are accompanied by a few of their dear friends and there daughter. Their daughter Sophia, was just cute as a bug and so sweet. A little princess indeed.

Aaron Wins Big In Vegas!!!

          So, you’re on your way out of town. Your destination is Vegas. It’s a hot summer day. Your lucky number is 10 and your favorite color is black. You arrive at the Roulette table with your Bride of 10 years on your arm, and place your bet. You feel LUCKY! You go all in. You are looking to have an unforgettable weekend in Las Vegas. You are only there to win. As the roulette wheel starts to spin, you turn to your Bride and you say..” will you marry me again?” Your beautiful blushing Bride says ‘Yes” with as much excitement as the first time you asked ten years ago. You lay a big smooch on her and the world is completely shut out just for that moment. It’s just you Aaron and Jennah. Then you here, Black 10! You’re a winner. Wow,what a way to start your weekend in Vegas! A DOUBLE WIN…

          Well, I know it all sounds so movie like, but boy when I saw the two of you and the rest of your entourage come out of the Casino…this is where I went. I guess you could say I have a colorful imagination. I like to call it technicolor. Ha ha. Your costumes were just great. You came to Vegas to play, win and have some fun. Aaron and Jennah chose a themed vow renewal for their fun. Congratulations on 10 years of marriage. I love the fact that everyone stayed in costume for the rest of the evening. Ya see, it doesn’t just have to be Halloween to dress up. You were the talk of the town. I can only imagine what that smokey room would have looked like back in the day. You really looked as if you stepped out of time and were ready to whoop it up ” Old Vegas Style.” I watched people as you would walk by, and I too think they were visiting that black and white movie screen. Aaron is in the heating and cooling business, and Jennah is a teacher. So I guess Aaron will forever remain” Hot For Teacher.” Sounds like a great song titlte huh????

We Want to Marry Elvis...

Just imagine it…your phone rings and the voice on the other line says.YOU’RE  A WINNER!!Yippee, what did you win? Okay we are playing as if you are single (in case you ar not). You won the all inclusive celebrity wedding from the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel! You get to choose which celebrity you would like to marry, and your honeymoon destination. So, who is it going to be? Who would you marry? George Clooney? Chace Crawford? Johnny Depp? Oh, and where would you honeymoon? St. Barts? Monte Carlo? Would you choose a traditional wedding or a themed wedding? 

This is easy for me.. I would marry King Leonidas. Do you know who that is? He also played in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies. Have you guessed who yet?? Okay, here’s another clue. He was in the film adaptation of the Phantom of the Opera-he played the Phantom.Yes, you guessed it! Gerard Butler. I first saw him in the movie 300 and I thought he was fabbbbbulous. It’s too bad Gerard and Jennifer Aniston didn’t work out. I think Gerard is the type of guy most other guys would go crazy over  if they saw there ex with him. He’s such a guys guy. I love that!  They would have made such a handsome Bride and Groom. I find him charming. I saw him interviewed with Craig Ferguson on late night and he was hilarious! By the way, Craig Ferguson has been to our chapel. 

Gerard is originally from Scotland, so a fairytale type wedding seems fitting. I could be the Princess Bride! Oh, and in a small quaint castle. Ha! Let’s see, I guess we would have to vacation in his homeland first, and then hop on over to the Mediterranean. Go to all of the romantic cites like Venice, Tuscany, and Sicily. So romantic. I must confess… my husband and I were married in a small chapel before I even worked here. We did this so that we could really go all out and enjoy an unforgettable honeymoon. It was perfect. A small wedding ( 7 people). There was no fuss. It was over in a matter of minutes and then we were off to cruise the Mediterranean. The most amazing memories were made on our honeymoon, and we were both so glad we did it this way. Why I’d have to say….I would do it the same way with him over and over again.  

Although, our five year anniversary is in 2 more years I think a themed wedding is the way we may go for our vow renewal. Maybe a Motown type wedding…. I like the sound of that. Remember, if you could dream it, we could theme it.

     The show is called Resto Del Mundo ( the rest of the world ).They broadcast in Chile’, Argentina, Uraguay, Paraguay and Brazil. From my understanding, they are muy popular. Oh boy, how will I explain this to my husband? Oh yes, I said it~ I’m married. Well, to put a positive spin on it…what gal gets to wear her wedding dress a second time? Yippee, that’s me. Whoa, I shouldn’t sound so excited. However, I will tell you why I am excited. Now,my real hubby, we’ll just call him handsome, for now, is not into the themed weddings ( he’s the traditional wedding type ). So my opportunity is here. I get to have the King drive me in a 64 convertable Pink Caddy into, yes INTO the Chapel. I get my very own PINK CADDY WEDDING!!  I thought I’d never see this day. I will be serenaded by Elvis and on T.V.! I always wanted to be an actress! The Pink Caddy Weddings are my favorite!!! Everyone that has one, comes out with a smile from ear to ear ( because it’s so cool ):) The excitement level of their guests always elevates to a crescendo! I’m so ready to do this now. Oh what fun. Viva Italia!

So here we are in Fabulous Las Vegas with so many exciting weddings taking place daily. I arrive at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel to pick up my next Bride. And what do I see?? It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a…No- It’s SUPERMAN!! What? Oh yes, I picked up Batman-Superman-Wonderwoman and Batgirl. Now I know I will be safe all night. In case you were wondering ..crime was down on the Las Vegas Strip because our action Super Heroes were in town for the weekend. I then begin to think…does Superman marry Wonderwoman? Or does Batgirl say yes to Batman after all these years? No silly, that would never happen. Just then I spot my beautiful Bride and Groom Francesca and Paolo from Italy with their marriage license in hand. They are both decked out, and ready to say “I do.” Oh me too…stay tuned for my next Wedding Blog ( I will get married ). Now everyone is in the Batmobile and off we go to the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. Four, Three, Two, One. Woohooo, what a time we are about to have.

You look maaaaarvelous! So,once again as I sign off, let me tell you that Francesca, Paolo and the rest of the Super Gang had a Super time! They dined at the Top of  the World restaurant at The Stratosphere Hotel where they could view the entire Las Vegas Strip ( for crime of course ) and to have a dinner fit for a Super Hero. Who’s your favorite Super Hero? I would have to go with ” Batgirl.”  I love hanging upside down. First recorded by Willie Mae Thornton in 1952, “Hound Dog” became popular when Elvis got a hold of it in 1956 and played it during an appearance on the Milton Berle show. This was the same television appearance that sparked controversy across the nation and had parents everywhere balking at “Elvis the Pelvis.” During the recording of the song, Elvis insisted on getting a perfect performance, and ultimately recorded 31 takes of the song before getting it the way we hear it today.

“Teddy Bear” was the third of four #1 hit singles Elvis had in 1957. Not only was it #1 on the pop charts, it also was his fourth #1 single on the R&B chart and even had a week-long stint at #1 on Country charts! The song was co-written by Bernie Lowe, who helped start the careers of Bobby Rydell and Chubby Checker.

(You’re the) Devil in Disguise

His last top ten single on the R&B charts, “Devil in Disguise” still reached #3 on the Pop charts in the United States. However, it was a much bigger hit in the UK, reaching #1 on the charts and selling over 500,000 units, certifying it as a “Gold” record. Famously, when John Lennon heard the song, he said it sounded like Elvis had become like Bing Crosby! We all make mistakes, John.

Blue Hawaii

The title track from Elvis’ 1961 movie of the same name, “Blue Hawaii” is a remake of a (coincidentally enough) Bing Crosby song from 1937. The soundtrack to the movie, the first of three based in Hawaii, spent 79 weeks on the Pop Albums charts, 20 of those at #1! Last but not least, the reason why we are who we are! Though the film Viva Las Vegas is considered one of Elvis’ best films, the soundtrack was mired by budget strains and bad decisions. However, the title track managed to survive and has been featured in dozens of movies, commercials, and television programs. The song is also the fight song for the University of Northern Las Vegas!
