How to Find Your Perfect Husband!

Mandee and Tom's Vegas Wedding
The story of how Mandee met hubby-to-be Tom will knock your socks off!

Just when we think we’ve heard it all at Viva Las Vegas Weddings, a love story appears on one of our Viva Las Vegas wedding websites that gives us goosebumps. A bit of background: Mandee and Tom were married in our Main Chapel this past weekend in a romantic traditional ceremony presided over by our own Reverend Robb. It was a rare rainy afternoon in Las Vegas, in keeping with the uniqueness of this special pair.

At the request of the couple, Elvis put in an appearance to serenade them in his dashing gold lamé jacket. Besides being a strikingly attractive bride and groom, Mandee and Tom also shared a love story we hadn’t quite heard before…

According to the bride, Mandee, “This real-life story is a fairy tale come true…(the kind that)… I had only watched on television or in movies.” How they met is not quite as special as who gets the credit for the two meeting. We have a feeling that Mandee will be forever grateful to her very insightful sister, Dana.

Mandee continues, “Dana is the sole reason I have met the love of my life. My sister’s an avid bowler. On a particular Sunday, Dana went to a local pub with a friend of hers after bowling. Tom was sitting there alone, so Dana went up to him and said, ‘I think you would be perfect for my sister!’ Ironically, I was at Dana’s house waiting on her to come back from bowling when I got a text and picture of her with Tom— a stranger to me at this point.”

What is most incredible is what Dana texted to Mandee: “I just met your new husband!”

Dana put Tom on the phone to speak to Mandee, which really put both of them on the spot. They spoke only briefly. (Awkward!) Nevertheless, they did text each other frequently over the next several days.

Mandee added, “We met that next Wednesday night. From the very first time our eyes met, sparks flew. We were inseparable from that second on.”

Vegas Wedding with Elvis
Tom and his new bride Mandee

Why a Las Vegas Wedding? Mandee’s mother Sylvia has always loved Elvis. Besides, after Mandee made her first trip to Vegas just before meeting Tom, she knew she wanted to share the Las Vegas experience with him. So, what better place to wed than Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel? Sylvia and other family members back home were able to watch live on our chapel webcam. Perfect!

The bride wore a shimmery lavender floor-length gown== and she definitely stole the show from Elvis. We love it when that happens! Otherwise, the ceremony was sweet and intimate and the very essence of a romantic Las Vegas wedding.

Hey, Mandee and Tom, you look great on that bike! See you in five or ten years for your Harley Themed wedding vow renewal! (Just a thought…) Best wishes to this very happy, and very memorable, couple!

A Brides Review~ Say “Yes” to Viva Las Vegas

20121001_193300My husband and I recently got married at Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel on Valentines Day in 2013. We wanted to marry in Vegas because we couldn’t afford a huge traditional wedding and a honeymoon, so we decided to do both at the same time. I was pretty worried because I reviewed chapels online, and sometimes you never know what to expect when you actually get there, but I was very happy with our decision. We married in the outdoor gazebo and it was just as gorgeous in person as it was online. Whoever designed and decorated did an amazing job; the whole chapel is beautiful down to the walkway. Valentines Day is a very busy day for them, but everyone there was calm and collected which made me feel much better. Our limo driver Deanna was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to make me and my guests in the limo happy. She was very pleasant. The wedding coordinator, front desk employees, photographer, and minister were very nice.  I don’t have any complaints about anything. We plan on renewing our vows every 5 years and coming back here to do it!

An Australian Surprise at Viva Las Vegas

A romantic gesture is carried out by a Groom who is about to marry his Bride in Australia in May. The surprise felt like a scene out of a movie…but it truly was better. Our Groom had his lovely soon to be Bride dress like Marilyn Monroe. Then came the girls role in having the bride whisked away in a limousine wearing a blindfold and headphones. The Bride is brought along to the secret location~The Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel.

Our Bride is walked upstairs to the Elvis and Priscilla room where her Groom awaits her arrival for a surprise commitment ceremony. The Groom is dressed like Elvis and his friends are all dressed in flight suits that say “Top Gun.” The gals all join them, and the blindfold comes off.

Elvis is their minister and the great ceremony begins. All 24 of them traveled from down under to make this a weekend to remember and it truly was a bachelor and bachelorette’s weekend. The Groom had one more surprise and it was an outfit that had everyone in stitches. Just look for the flowers below.

Then the guys were off to go race car driving, the gals were off to lay out at a cabana by the pool and the strip clubs were to follow to finish off the ultimate bachelor and bachelorette’s weekend.

Cheers to our happy couple and their great friends!

Bride of Frankenstein Weds at Viva Las Vegas

You have been invited to a hair raising experience at Viva Las Vegas Weddings…

When most people think of a wedding, they think of white lace and a beautiful chapel or garden. Well, for Judy & John it was quite the opposite. They chose to invite their guests and inform them that a classic old school wedding was about to happen. After all, Frankenstein needs a mate.  All guests were to use their imagination and come dressed for the occasion. Since it was late October, their guests were dressed to impress. It was a wedding to remember for this couple and their friends and family.

If you are recently engaged, and are in search of a ceremony that is beyond your dreams~ feel free to call us at Viva Las Vegas Weddings where we strive to make wedding dreams come true. 702-384-0771
