I am so excited to bring you…The art of the Bride. I am a huge fan of the reality show~”LA INK,” since I am a native of Southern California. I just don’t know how I’ll fill my tattoo love tank since Kat Von D will no longer be on the air. Arghhhhhh.

I can’t say I have any tattoos- however, I am obsessed with them. I just think that tattoos speak volumes. They are interpreted one way by the viewer, but their true stories can only be spoken by those that display them so beautifully.

I love my job here at the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel and I get to see artwork ( my opinion ) from all over the world on any given day here. I have taken a bit of time to photograph some Brides tatts in hopes that you too, will enjoy them.

Johan said it was Leonie’s birthday and she had always dreamed of coming to Las Vegas and having an Elvis wedding. So Johan made Leonies birthday wish come true. What a guy! Johan and Leonie have been married for 27 years and have five (one for each finger) grown sons. Well, that certainly beats “My Three Sons” the television show. What a loving couple they were. Johan said it’s their time now, and they really seem to be living it up. I asked Johan for a marriage tip on how to make it to 27 years.This is something I love asking of Vow Renewal couples I chauffeur. Hey, I need all of the help I can get…I’m working my way towards a blissful 4 myself.

His answer was short but very sweet, he said-”honest true love.” I about melted. It was true, I could see it in both of their eyes from the moment I met them. Leonie said “work at it too.” Boy, I felt as if I had just received a wealth of critical information in just a few beautiful words. Leonie did say,” you endure the salt together too!” Makes me hungry for more, I say pass the salt aaaand the pepper if this is what I look forward to having in my golden years. Leonie and Johan you were a blessing to me and I crown you both Bride & Groom of the week of  The Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel in Fabulous Las Vegas,Nevada. They say it’s your birthday, well I felt like it was my birthday too. Thank you for the gift of tips on how to make it to 27 years!

Our Soldier was here on furlough to marry his Sweetheart, and his unit back in Iraq was able to view his Wedding via our live web cam! This is the type of warm fuzzy I just look up and say thanks for! Technology is certainly an amazing feat. Everytime a Soldier walks through our doors I just quietly think to myself, we are so lucky to be able to serve them in some small way. It never feels like we can ever give back enough, but it certainly is an honor.

Let’s see, where do I begin, to tell a story of how great a love can be? A sweet love story, is this weeks couple of the week.  It’s an Officer who was a gentleman. Rick has been serving our country in the United States Navy since 1982. You are a patriot Rick. His lovely Bride is Sandy. What a gal, she too is quite the catch. Sandy looked absolutely radiant on her wedding day. When Sandy met Rick, it was love at first sight. She commented to me that she told her sister that day, ” I am going to marry that guy,”  and so the love story began. I could feel their love from across the stretch limousine~ Moments like this are just best, when they can be shared. Thanks for sharing with us… Rick & Sandy you are my “Bride Pick of the Week, ” because you made my day too. Many blessings to both of you this Christmas and throughout the New Year.

We Want to Marry Elvis...

Just imagine it…your phone rings and the voice on the other line says.YOU’RE  A WINNER!!Yippee, what did you win? Okay we are playing as if you are single (in case you ar not). You won the all inclusive celebrity wedding from the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel! You get to choose which celebrity you would like to marry, and your honeymoon destination. So, who is it going to be? Who would you marry? George Clooney? Chace Crawford? Johnny Depp? Oh, and where would you honeymoon? St. Barts? Monte Carlo? Would you choose a traditional wedding or a themed wedding? 

This is easy for me.. I would marry King Leonidas. Do you know who that is? He also played in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies. Have you guessed who yet?? Okay, here’s another clue. He was in the film adaptation of the Phantom of the Opera-he played the Phantom.Yes, you guessed it! Gerard Butler. I first saw him in the movie 300 and I thought he was fabbbbbulous. It’s too bad Gerard and Jennifer Aniston didn’t work out. I think Gerard is the type of guy most other guys would go crazy over  if they saw there ex with him. He’s such a guys guy. I love that!  They would have made such a handsome Bride and Groom. I find him charming. I saw him interviewed with Craig Ferguson on late night and he was hilarious! By the way, Craig Ferguson has been to our chapel. 

Gerard is originally from Scotland, so a fairytale type wedding seems fitting. I could be the Princess Bride! Oh, and in a small quaint castle. Ha! Let’s see, I guess we would have to vacation in his homeland first, and then hop on over to the Mediterranean. Go to all of the romantic cites like Venice, Tuscany, and Sicily. So romantic. I must confess… my husband and I were married in a small chapel before I even worked here. We did this so that we could really go all out and enjoy an unforgettable honeymoon. It was perfect. A small wedding ( 7 people). There was no fuss. It was over in a matter of minutes and then we were off to cruise the Mediterranean. The most amazing memories were made on our honeymoon, and we were both so glad we did it this way. Why I’d have to say….I would do it the same way with him over and over again.  

Although, our five year anniversary is in 2 more years I think a themed wedding is the way we may go for our vow renewal. Maybe a Motown type wedding…. I like the sound of that. Remember, if you could dream it, we could theme it.
