Viva Las Vegas Wedding Reviews That Made Us Smile!

Traditional wedding in Vegas
JeVon and Amanda exchange vows with our own Reverend Daphne–it looks like everyone was trying hard not to cry!

Our Elvis weddings, Traditional Weddings, and even our Themed Weddings may not always go off without a hitch with all the many detailed factors involved, but we ARE always aiming to make everyone’s wedding in Las Vegas as perfect and memorable as we possibly can. And, it looks like we are mostly successful! We get choked up when we see feedback on TripAdvisor that lets us know we’ve made couples very happy on one of the most special days of their lives. We thought we’d share a few with you, ones that recently made US very happy!

“Amazing experience”

Reviewed August 5, 2015
We loved our experience with this team. Internet reservation was smooth and they answered all my questions by email.
Outstanding Customer service
They pick us up at the hotel with a limo because the regular car was broken so we were really glad about that! The driver was so nice he even took pictures for us.

Ceremony was funny and cheesy as we expected, everybody there was really into it! We never felt that they were bored at all . My husband bought his tuxedo tshirt there.

The package is really good; including flowers, elvis songs, pink caddie..

Weddings runs smooth one after another, no delay, everybody has a smile.

The photographer took her time and made sure we were happy with the poses.

Ordering pictures by internet after was really easy, no mistakes in my order. Im satisfied. I recommend this without a doubt.

“A Great Day!”

We had such an amazing time at Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Rev. Roland August performed our ceremony. We couldn’t have gotten luckier. What a nice genuine person. Everyone made us feel welcome. My partner and I had chosen the simplicity package and was well worth the money. They were there to guide us through the whole thing. So easy. I stressed for nothing. You will be in great hands. Thank you all for a great day!

Viva Las Vegas Weddings’ Reverend Daphne Goes to China

Rev. Daphne Las Vegas minister
Rev. Daphne gets into the spirit to preside over a Harley Davidson Themed wedding

Our own Reverend Daphne is back in the saddle again (and back to marrying happy Las Vegas wedding couples) after an 11-day trip to China. (Pictured above, Daphne sheds her ministerial robes for a Harley Davidson wedding ceremony.) Yep, The Great Wall of China was on her bucket list. If you’ve read past wedding blogs, you know Daphne travels the world lightly. So, yes, her only luggage was a backpack and three changes of clothes. Daphne described her travel wardrobe as, “All interchangeable and very comfortable—and I brought walking shoes!”

Daphne visited Beijing for three days, then was blown away by The Great Wall. Also included in her itinerary were the Forbidden City and the famous Tiananmen Square. She continues, describing the highlights of her trip: “I sailed down the Yangtze River for four days, looking at many villages and lots of industry along the river. Then it was on to Shanghai for three days, which is far more modern than Beijing.”

“Our tour guide spoke excellent English and was extremely knowledgeable about his country. That made the tour so enjoyable. We used GATE 1 TRAVEL. All the hotels and the cabin on the Yangtze River cruise were very clean and comfortable.” Between all the walking and all the Chinese food (EVERY meal was Chinese food with no bread or desserts), Daphne lost a few pounds. How many people do that on vacation?

Other travel advice for wedding couples who might want to honeymoon in China? “If you plan to visit China, go for the sights and history of the country. It’s not a relaxing destination.”

What’s next on Daphne’s travel agenda? ” I’m looking forward to a few more countries—-swimming in the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and throwing my coin into the fountain in Italy.”

How does it feel to be back to the Viva Las Vegas wedding routine? “I have to say that I was very happy that I saw the sights of China, but I’m VERY HAPPY to be home and back to work at the chapel. Americans don’t realize how fortunate they are living in this country.”

We’re really glad to have Daphne back at work, too. If she’s on duty for your upcoming wedding, Daphne’s your go-to person for worldwide travel advice. The lady gets around! Even if you just want to know what to see and do on your Vegas honeymoon, she’s got great suggestions. It’s just one of the many services our friendly Viva Las Vegas ministers provide. And, if you’ve been to China, too, you’ll have a lot to chat about as Daphne takes care of your marriage license paperwork. You’ll feel right at home. 🙂

How to Find Your Perfect Husband!

Mandee and Tom's Vegas Wedding
The story of how Mandee met hubby-to-be Tom will knock your socks off!

Just when we think we’ve heard it all at Viva Las Vegas Weddings, a love story appears on one of our Viva Las Vegas wedding websites that gives us goosebumps. A bit of background: Mandee and Tom were married in our Main Chapel this past weekend in a romantic traditional ceremony presided over by our own Reverend Robb. It was a rare rainy afternoon in Las Vegas, in keeping with the uniqueness of this special pair.

At the request of the couple, Elvis put in an appearance to serenade them in his dashing gold lamé jacket. Besides being a strikingly attractive bride and groom, Mandee and Tom also shared a love story we hadn’t quite heard before…

According to the bride, Mandee, “This real-life story is a fairy tale come true…(the kind that)… I had only watched on television or in movies.” How they met is not quite as special as who gets the credit for the two meeting. We have a feeling that Mandee will be forever grateful to her very insightful sister, Dana.

Mandee continues, “Dana is the sole reason I have met the love of my life. My sister’s an avid bowler. On a particular Sunday, Dana went to a local pub with a friend of hers after bowling. Tom was sitting there alone, so Dana went up to him and said, ‘I think you would be perfect for my sister!’ Ironically, I was at Dana’s house waiting on her to come back from bowling when I got a text and picture of her with Tom— a stranger to me at this point.”

What is most incredible is what Dana texted to Mandee: “I just met your new husband!”

Dana put Tom on the phone to speak to Mandee, which really put both of them on the spot. They spoke only briefly. (Awkward!) Nevertheless, they did text each other frequently over the next several days.

Mandee added, “We met that next Wednesday night. From the very first time our eyes met, sparks flew. We were inseparable from that second on.”

Vegas Wedding with Elvis
Tom and his new bride Mandee

Why a Las Vegas Wedding? Mandee’s mother Sylvia has always loved Elvis. Besides, after Mandee made her first trip to Vegas just before meeting Tom, she knew she wanted to share the Las Vegas experience with him. So, what better place to wed than Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel? Sylvia and other family members back home were able to watch live on our chapel webcam. Perfect!

The bride wore a shimmery lavender floor-length gown== and she definitely stole the show from Elvis. We love it when that happens! Otherwise, the ceremony was sweet and intimate and the very essence of a romantic Las Vegas wedding.

Hey, Mandee and Tom, you look great on that bike! See you in five or ten years for your Harley Themed wedding vow renewal! (Just a thought…) Best wishes to this very happy, and very memorable, couple!

O Canadians! How to Get Married in Las Vegas (Great White North Edition)

How Canadians can get married in Las VEgas

Last year more Canadian couples than any other non-American group chose to tie the knot at Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. And it wasn’t just those crazy late night Elvis weddings, either. Many couples opted for traditional weddings, while others chose from our many creative themed wedding packages. Friends and family back in Canada were able to watch streaming live if they couldn’t make the trip to Vegas themselves. What could be more perfect? No matter what kind of wedding our newlywed neighbors from the North have planned, we’ve had a blast marrying them! Visit our site at www.vivalasvegasweddings.com to browse and dream!

We think the influx of Canadian brides and grooms may also be because of the great airfares and direct flights offered by Air Canada and Westjet. (Air Canada, for example, has one-way fares from many major cities starting at just over $100). It also doesn’t hurt that Viva Las Vegas weddings are extremely affordable, making a destination wedding a real money-saver in the long run. On top of which, Las Vegas is already an ideal honeymoon destination, with its astounding selection of exquisite honeymoon hotels to choose from– and so many exciting things to do.
