If getting married by Elvis or renewing your vows in Las Vegas is a must-do, once-in-a-lifetime happening, why not share it with friends? And we don’t mean as your wedding guests. This week, Alison and Michael and EIGHT of their friends (four other couples) re-tied the knot with Elvis at Viva Las Vegas Weddings’ Main Chapel.
The couples, one after the other, boogied down the aisle to a song of their own choosing, and just barely fit across our otherwise spacious chapel altar! Apparently there was no dress code…from real, full-on tuxedo to tuxedo t-shirt, everybody wore what was just right for an Elvis vow renewal in Vegas!
For a short time you can check out their dance down the aisle at the video link below. Their vows were live streaming from our chapel, but they also chose to archive temporarily to our website. And who wouldn’t want evidence for all the folks back home?
Any of our Elvis, themed or traditional wedding packages can be arranged as multiple couple vow renewals. Give us a call for details, and we’ll be delighted to renew your vows and seal those special friendships at the same time. No better way to party in Vegas and share a memory of a lifetime! 702-384-0771 vivalasvegasweddings.com
If you’re getting legally married in Las Vegas, you’ll need to go downtown to the Marriage Bureau here to get your license.(The Marriage Bureau in Las Vegas is located at the northwest corner of Clark Avenue and Third Street, 201 Clark Avenue.) After many years, the cost of a marriage license in Nevada is going up to $77. Bummer. But…sigh…it’s a once-in-a-lifetime expense and, hey, double sevens! The Marriage Bureau accepts cash only, so be prepared. See the helpful link below to find all the details and how to get there:
If you want express line service at the Marriage Bureau when you arrive to get your license, click on the Marriage Pre-Application on their website above, to be completed for both parties. Print and bring these forms with you when you go to get your license. You’ll both need ID’s and you’ll both need to be present. Check the Marriage Bureau site for details on all other requirements.
Once you have your license in hand, be sure to have it with you (and your rings, of course!) upon arrival at Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. Wedding vow renewals won’t require a license. And remember, same-sex marriages are legal and warmly welcomed at our chapel!
Your minister (even if you’re getting married by Elvis, a licensed minister will pronounce you as legally wedded for the purposes of the State of Nevada) will explain how to get copies of your marriage certificate. All of our Viva Las Vegas Weddings require a $60 cash only minister’s fee, to be paid at the time of your ceremony. The minister will take care of recording your marriage, as part of his or her services to you on your wedding day. Las Vegas wedding chapel minister services are not included in your Viva Las Vegas wedding package price.
If you’re not a U.S. resident, you can still get married in Las Vegas. Many countries will require a certified copy of the marriage certificate and as apostille from the Nevada Secretary of State. Your minister will help you with questions on how to do this. You might also get in touch with your country’s Consulate in the States to confirm what you’ll need.

We here at Viva Las Vegas Weddings have gotten another wild, fun and crazy onslaught of Valentine’s Day traditional and Elvis weddings! Whew! We had to bring in extra Elvi to cover all the Elvis ceremonies! Plus, our florists made up over 100 be-ribboned wedding bouquets, and we had all of our chapels running non-stop for 15 hours! One Elvis wedding featured FOUR couples re-tying the knot in a wedding vow renewal ceremony, and we had limos and Pink Cadillacs delivering brides and grooms to the chapel until nearly midnight. But we’d do it all over again in a minute. It was a total blast here!
The weather for Valentine’s Day weddings was absolute perfection—sunny, calm and in the 70’s. All the couples who married in our outdoor wedding chapels, the Garden AND the Gazebo, were thrilled! It could not have been a more beautiful day for February, or any other month for that matter. Our Valentine’s wedding couples came (mostly with lots of guests) from as far away as Australia to tie the knot on this special day.
For the first time, we had our share of legal same-sex marriages on Valentine’s Day, too! Recently, we were named in an matadornetwork.com article about the top things Californians should know about Las Vegas. Check out #11 and #12 (see the link below) for some statistics on Las Vegas Weddings that you might not have known before. We’re looking forward to sharing the dream of a lifetime of happiness for more couples than ever before in 2015! Thank you to all our beautiful brides and handsome grooms for helping make this day unforgettable. We hope we were able to create a lifetime of happy memories for you, too!
Even though Viva Las Vegas weddings already offers the most unique wedding packages in Las Vegas, we’re always delighted by the innovative wedding ideas our couples bring to the…altar. Melany and Nathan came all the way from Australia this weekend with friends and family in tow, all dressed to the nines in fabulous Great Gatsby era finery. Of course, they ordered up an Elvis wedding, a pink Cadillac entrance down the aisle, and a hula girl to dance to the Hawaiian Wedding song in the chapel filled with tropical mist. Wow. And why not?
According to Mel, “After nine years of time together, (we) thought it might be a good idea to cement (our) wonderful relationship with a Gatsby style wedding complete with a very un-Gatsby Elvis style wedding in Vegas. Viva Las Vegas looked like the best of the best when it comes to really kooky and fun elvis ceremonies, so here we are. A very unusual and memorable way to confirm the unusual and memorable relationship that Nathan and I have so much enjoyed sharing together. We hope that all of our friends and family are able to enjoy sharing this moment with us, and look forward to spending more great times with all of you in the future.” And, friends and family who couldn’t be in Las Vegas WERE able to share on our live streaming feed direct from the chapel.
Right now, Viva Las Vegas weddings is having one of our wild and crazy add-on specials. Upgrade any of our Elvis, themed, or traditional weddings by adding a be-feathered Las Vegas Showgirl, a shirtless and hunky Chippendale dude, or a Hawaiian hula girl to dance to Elvis’s rendition of the Hawaiian Wedding Song for only $100. Or? We take requests and will customize your wedding so that it reflects YOUR unusual and memorable relationship.
Best wishes for happiness always to Melany and Nathan. They’re now off to San Francisco to wow folks in another of the most romantic cities in the States. We hope they’ll strut their Gatsby duds once again in the City by the Bay!
Okay, Louisa and Rollin have KNOWN each other since middle school, but after years of playing hard-to-get and, ultimately, discovering that they are soulmates, the two decided on a fun and affordable Las Vegas wedding. Since Louisa and Rollin brought lots of friends and family members from the Inland Empire to witness their ceremony, they opted to wed in our large and picturesque Main Chapel. We think it’s the most elegant place in Vegas to get married by Elvis!
Many of the guests wore the bridal colors of red and black, so those wedding photos are going to look sharp! We love it when guests dress up to support a color or theme. That way, everyone feels like a part of the bride and groom’s special day!
Louisa and Rollin’s love story clearly wasn’t one of love at first sight. (Unless Louisa was in years of denial!) After Louisa turned down pleas to be Rollin’s girl EVERY year of high school, she finally gave in…and the rest is history. Rollin proposed at the top of the ferris wheel on the Santa Monica Pier–a complete surprise for Louisa, who was only expecting dinner and a drive-in movie.
This stunning couple chose spring break week here in Vegas to get hitched. All this week, Elvis will have his hands full marrying loving young couples at our romantic Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. But, with this gorgeous spring weather, our Gazebo and Garden Chapels are smokin’ busy, too! Spring is a great time to be in love, and to be married in fabulous Las Vegas. It’s fun, affordable, and you’re already staying in the most exciting city on the planet for a honeymoon. Viva Las Vegas!
