Elvis would be celebrating his 82nd birthday this week on January 8th. As always, The King of Rock ‘n Roll will be foremost in our thoughts as we perform our many Elvis wedding ceremonies for couples who are dedicated fans, or who just enjoy the light-hearted nostalgia surrounding the memory of the legendary performer.

Don’t forget your Elvis cake and cake-topper to go!

Elvis’s birthday has always been a popular wedding day here at Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. It may be too late to book your wedding ceremony or vow renewal for Elvis’s birthday this year, but if you’re planning a spring wedding and are huge Elvis fans, May 1st will be the anniversary of Elvis and Priscilla’s wedding. What a great excuse to arrange an Elvis Pink Caddy or Elvis Blue Hawaii wedding in Las Vegas! Elvis and his bride were married at the old Aladdin Hotel (now Planet Hollywood) in Las Vegas. Many couples dress up as Elvis and Priscilla for their kitschy wedding at Viva Las Vegas’s Main Chapel, or in our fantastic 1950s Doo Wop Diner Chapel. If you don’t have your own costumes, we do rent them in our costume shop. For more casual weddings, we sell just the “shades with sideburns” and bridal veils, too. (Some brides may prefer to dress as “Marilyn.” We’ve got you covered with our wide range of themed costume choices.)

Five Couples Renew Wedding Vows with Elvis at ONCE!

Elvis vow renewal in Vegas
Get married a second time with Elvis AND all your friends!

If getting married by Elvis or renewing your vows in Las Vegas is a must-do, once-in-a-lifetime happening, why not share it with friends? And we don’t mean as your wedding guests. This week, Alison and Michael and EIGHT of their friends (four other couples) re-tied the knot with Elvis at Viva Las Vegas Weddings’ Main Chapel.

The couples, one after the other, boogied down the aisle to a song of their own choosing, and just barely fit across our otherwise spacious chapel altar! Apparently there was no dress code…from real, full-on tuxedo to tuxedo t-shirt, everybody wore what was just right for an Elvis vow renewal in Vegas!

For a short time you can check out their dance down the aisle at the video link below. Their vows were live streaming from our chapel, but they also chose to archive temporarily to our website. And who wouldn’t want evidence for all the folks back home?

Any of our Elvis, themed or traditional wedding packages can be arranged as multiple couple vow renewals. Give us a call for details, and we’ll be delighted to renew your vows and seal those special friendships at the same time. No better way to party in Vegas and share a memory of a lifetime! 702-384-0771 vivalasvegasweddings.com

A SURPRISE Elvis Wedding in Las Vegas!

surprise wedding in vegas
A glowing (and VERY surprised) bride!

While we see a fair number of surprise Las Vegas wedding vow renewals (where, generally, the husband springs the ceremony on his wife for their anniversary), actual marriages are rarely a surprise for the bride. But, this week, William, a truly determined groom, decided to pull out all the stops for his unwitting beloved, Kaisu.

The evening began with a magical and unexpected proposal in front of the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, along with a pink Cadillac tour of the Strip and Fremont Street with Elvis. While cruising Downtown, the couple made a stop at the Marriage Bureau, Kaisu’s first hint that more was to come.

Next stop? Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel for an Elvis Blue Hawaii Themed Wedding! William was not only confident he’d get a “yes,” but he’d even requested that Kaisu wear something tropical for a dinner out at Margaritaville, which was all she had been expecting. William’s months of planning really paid off. He and Kaisu were both dressed perfectly for their Hawaiian themed ceremony with Elvis, fresh leis and all!

William and Kaisu met in Helsinki, Finland, three years ago. It was a raining, and William found there were only two empty seats in a café. One was near an unappealing-looking gentleman, the other was next to Kaisu. What to do? Not only did Kaisu have the stunning beauty of a supermodel, she spoke fluent English as well. A no-brainer for William! Clearly the stars were lined up for romance on that day.

Since then, the two have traveled the world together. Perhaps in that same spirit of adventure, William hatched the idea for an incredible surprise wedding in Las Vegas, somehow managing to keep it a secret from everyone. We’re pretty sure their family members in Finland were blown away when they saw the wedding video archived online the next morning!

As ever, we at Viva Las Vegas Weddings did our best to make their Blue Hawaii wedding a little slice of paradise they would always remember. We felt honored to be in the presence of two people who are so clearly soulmates, and who seem so clearly destined to be together. We’ve never seen anything so beautifully executed and planned, and it was very special for us to be a small part of that. Best wishes for many, many happy years ahead, William and Kaisu. We won’t soon forget you!

Our Hottest Elvis Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony—The Elvis Blue Hawaii!

Elvis vow renewal in Vegas
Scott and Lisa renewed their vows with Elvis after 30 years of marriage!

Since Day One, the Viva Las Vegas Weddings Elvis Blue Hawaii wedding package has been our most popular for both weddings and wedding vow renewals. (Close on its heels lately in popularity? The pink Cadillac chapel entrance with Elvis driving you inside, right down the aisle!) Just last evening, Scott and Lisa of Visalia, California, tied the knot once again to celebrate 30 years of wedded bliss!

Surrounded by beaming friends and family, this happy pair danced to Elvis’ rendition of The Hawaiian Wedding Song, Can’t Help Fallin’ in Love, and, of course, everyone was up dancing for Viva Las Vegas by the end of the wedding vow renewal ceremony!

Yes, we had ocean mist effects and theatrical lights. Yes, we had tropical palm trees in the chapel. Yes, Elvis sported a colorful lei with flashing LED lights! Yes, there was a hula girl, and lots and lots of Hawaiian shirts and smiles. The bride and groom wore purple leis and Lisa even carried a purple rose bouquet down the aisle. One of the best things about the Blue Hawaii wedding is that it is picturesque, casual and romantic all at once. Then, there’s the thrill and excitement of a live, singing Elvis!

Another Blue Hawaii, with tropical ocean mist, hula girl, and Elvis serenading you!

Your Elvis Blue Hawaii wedding can be a huge family affair, or just the two of you–maybe with others watching our live streaming coverage from afar. Everyone has something different in mind, and we’ll try very hard to make your ceremony your own by customizing the elements you prefer. (Hey, you can ADD a pink Cadillac entrance to the Blue Hawaii package!)

We could tell that Scott and Lisa might not really think of themselves as “the type” for an Elvis wedding, but they seemed to be having a GREAT time, and their family and guests seemed to LOVE IT. When in Vegas, EVERYONE is an Elvis fan! We wish Scott and Lisa the very best for another 30 years of happiness together. What a way to top off the first 30! 🙂

Las Vegas Elvis Wedding Minister–Before He Was Elvis!

Brian as Elvis
Viva Las Vegas’s own Brian Mills sported this’do’ for more than just portraying Elvis in Las Vegas!

Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel general manager Brian Mills will be recognized by many of our married couples as “Elvis” (or a Godfather, Beatle, Pharoah, Starship Captain….). But Brian wore that Elvis look even before he was marrying folks in Vegas. Here we provide hard evidence of his former pompadour hairstyle, worn playing Danny on the European tour of the musical, Grease!

Check out the video, below, of Brian singing “Sandy” in Austria.

Before he was Elvis, Brian also performed as a principal singer on the Las Vegas Strip at the Tropicana Hotel’s world-famous Folies Bergere. In fact, every Elvis who’s marrying couples at the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel was once a star on the Strip, Broadway, and in shows around the world. Just another great reason for choosing the Best Wedding Chapel in Nevada!
