Born on January 8, 1935, Elvis would be celebrating his 83rd birthday today. We’ll be thinking of Elvis all this week as our amazing impersonators perform Elvis wedding ceremonies. Some of our brides and grooms are dedicated fans, but most couples who celebrate their marriage with an Elvis wedding in Vegas are either renewing their vows or getting married by Elvis because it’s THE way to get hitched when in Vegas! But today especially we’ll honor the memory of the legendary performer with our respectful-yet-lighthearted Elvis weddings.
January 8th, Elvis’s birthday, is often a busy wedding day here at Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. For those Elvis fans who are planning a spring wedding in Vegas, May 1st, the anniversary of Elvis and Priscilla’s wedding, is a great day to book your Elvis Pink Caddy or Elvis Blue Hawaii wedding package. The two were married at the old Aladdin Hotel (now Planet Hollywood) in Las Vegas. Lots of folks like to dress up as Elvis and Priscilla for a fun and unforgettable wedding or wedding vow renewal ceremony. We even rent costumes—or, bring your own! (Sometimes it’s just the shades and sideburns, and the veil!)
Coming to Las Vegas with friends? We also do a lot of wild and crazy Elvis wedding vow renewal ceremonies, with two or more couples tying the knot for a second time with The King. Renewing vows, either with Elvis or with one of our romantic Traditional or unique Themed weddings is a popular way to celebrate a special anniversary or to surprise your spouse for a big birthday.
And, speaking of birthdays, we will be thinking of Elvis today on his birthday, even more fondly than we think of him EVERY day at Viva Las Vegas Weddings. In this year, Elvis will have been gone for as long as he was alive, a thought that brings a tear to all who are still missing him.
