Doin’ Your Las Vegas Wedding with Elvis in Our ’50s Doo Wop Diner

50s Diner Wedding Vegas
Only at Viva Las Vegas Weddings…a choice of wedding chapels, including our retro Doo Wop Diner Chapel!

Today is Pi Day–that is, 3/14–and the best place at Viva Las Vegas Weddings to look for PIE is in our fantastic retro Doo Wop Diner Chapel! (Actually, we DO have diner-themed wedding receptions here, too, but you’ll have to ask specifically for pie along with/instead of wedding cake, if you’re so inclined!)

We offer affordably fun wedding and wedding vow renewal packages in the Diner. Dress from the 1950s era is optional–but a GREAT idea. Elvis most often is the choice of minister to do the honors and sing iconic songs. By special request, though, you can opt for a Fonz impersonator minister, Lucy or Ricky, June Cleaver, or even your choice of Grease (the musical) character as cool wedding officiant. We’re always up for your ideas and suggestions, and we’ll do our best to make your personalized Doo Wop Diner Wedding happen!

Our retro Doo Wop Diner is by far the coolest spot to get married by Elvis in Vegas. You’ll step back in time, surrounded by ’50s memorabilia. The Diner jukebox has all of the old favorites, but you’ll also be entertained live by The King himself. We guarantee that Elvis singing as you’re exchanging wedding vows will be the most memorable event of your lives to date!

Best Anniversary Present EVER in Las Vegas! Tips for Renewing Your Wedding Vows

Elvis wedding vow renewal
WHO wouldn’t want to get married or renew their wedding vows in Vegas with Elvis???

Lots of couples come to Las Vegas to celebrate their anniversaries. As long as you’re partying anyway, you just might want to renew your wedding vows while you’re here! Plan it ahead together, or spring it on your mate at the last minute. An Elvis wedding vow renewal makes the BEST surprise anniversary present—for your spouse, or for your parents, if they’re celebrating a big anniversary.

Of course, Elvis weddings are our most popular vow renewal ceremonies– it’s Vegas, baby! But we also do a lot of fun themed weddings, the wackier the better. It’s your chance to do things the way you might have wished to the first time ’round, but didn’t dare.

If you like things sweet and simple, we also can perform a romantic traditional ceremony for you. At Viva Las Vegas, there’s almost nothing we can’t do to make your anniversary unforgettable. Reminisce in a candlelit chapel, and remind yourselves of how lucky you are to have found your soulmate.

If you’re considering a Las Vegas wedding vow renewal, you won’t need a license, just your bride or groom on your arm. Here are a few suggestions to make your ceremony even more special:

1. Consider wearing your original wedding clothes…if they still fit! 😉 But, should you choose a themed wedding, you can always come in fanciful costumes. For very casual renewals, we’ve seen a lot of tropical wear, especially with our Elvis packages featuring the Hawaiian Wedding Song. (Go all the way with an Elvis Blue Hawaii wedding package! Or add the pink Cadillac entrance with Elvis driving!)

2.Wedding vow renewals are a good time exchange new wedding rings. (Some couples have been married so long they’ve worn through their bands!) If you’re planning the whole thing as a surprise, the ring can be an incredibly touching surprise as well. If you want to keep your original rings, consider adding your renewal date engraved inside the band, for sentiment’s sake.

3. Nothing stirs the heart more than the reading of hand-written vows. Now’s the time to express how much your marriage has meant to you, to mention special memories, or to list all the reasons your love has lasted and will continue to last forever. We have kleenex handy.

4. If you’ll be vacationing together with another couple, we can do multiple-couple vow renewals, too! Ask one of our helpful staffers for the scoop on how to do this at 702-384-0771. We’ll make all the arrangements.

5. Include “your song,” either for going down the aisle, or as an add-on dance during the ceremony. Let us know at the time of your booking, so you can bring your own music, or we’ll acquire it for you. You can even have your song performed by a live singer at Viva Las Vegas Weddings!

Check out all the fabulous options for renewing your wedding vows, indoors or out, at www.vivalasvegasweddings.com And, if you were married here the first time, join the many, many couples who’ve joined us for their vows a second or third time. We are delighted to report that we have “groupies!” 🙂

Renewing Wedding Vows with a Whole Family of Elvises

lil and dave renew vows with elvis
Make it a family affair when renewing your wedding vows in Vegas with Elvis!

On your 10th anniversary, you want to celebrate the wonderful milestone in your marriage, and a trip to Las Vegas fills the bill! Lil and Dave from So. California celebrated their own 10th anniversary last week by renewing their vows with Elvis in our Viva Las Vegas Weddings Main Chapel. This fun-loving bunch took it a step farther, though. Dave and their six-and-seven-year-old sons dressed at Elvis, too. That’s a LOT of white jumpsuit!

The family brought a bevy of Hawaiian-shirted friends and family for their Elvis Blue Hawaii ceremony, our most popular wedding package for not only renewals, but for first weddings, too.

Zombie Elvis wedding
Our seasonal special- request Zombie Elvis brings in a lot of bride and groom zombies–and a lot of zombie guests. Kinda goes without saying.

Don’t look good in a jumpsuit? Hey, it’s October, and we’re doing a LOT of Gothic and graveyard themed weddings with Dracula, Grim Reaper all month long. But, our latest craze is the Zombie Elvis as minister, and your zombie Halloween costume can double as wedding duds at this time of year. (We’ve had some gorgeous zombie brides, believe it or not, dangling brains and all!)

Your Zombie Elvis or “regular” Elvis can perform your ceremony, indoors or out. ( October is THE most glorious weather month in Vegas for an Outdoor Gazebo or Garden wedding.) At Viva Las Vegas, we love to offer fun choices that inspire you to add your own special touches. Dress up the whole family and come celebrate your anniversary with us! Best wishes for many more years of happiness to Lil and Dave and family! See you in another 10!

5 Best Tips for Writing Wedding Vows for Your Renewal ( Elvis Renewals in Vegas, Too!)

WEdding Renewal in Vegas
Alcinda and Luis renewed their vows this week with Elvis after 25+1 years of happy marriage! Here are few more tales about happy renewals!

A few days ago at the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel, a sweet and stunning couple renewed their wedding vows after 21 years of marriage. With only their two young children present, and everyone in costume, they had a fun and fabulous space-themed wedding. The best part? The absolutely beautiful wedding vows they’d written to speak to each other. Although we hadn’t met the couple until their ceremony day, we were all wiping away tears as if we were close family members.

This summer, the amazing number wedding vow renewals at Viva Las Vegas Weddings has almost equalled the number of first weddings. (It’s truly heartening that we’ve seen MANY 25th anniversary Elvis weddings, with clearly-still-in-love couples exchanging wedding vows all over again after decades together.) Some couples have strolled down the aisle to exchange their wedding vows a third or even fourth time with us! But how do those vows compare to their first wedding vows?

Whether it’s a traditional second wedding, or a fun Elvis wedding vow renewal, couples most often choose to repeat the vows delivered by Elvis or a “reaL’ minister. In very special cases, couples include their very own handwritten wedding vows as well.

What about the vows moved us to tears this week? Here are a few things we’ll share, the tips that made these vows so touching and meaningful. And remember, just the fact that you wrote them yourselves, the fact that they come from the heart, will be the most endearing element.

1. Include something about your first wedding, and what your vows meant to you back then. Or, you might refer to something uniquely personal or funny that happened on your wedding day, way back when. It’s a good way to begin your vows.

2. Write about what you’ve learned over the years about the other person, and your unique dynamic as a couple. What has made you grow closer? What about your mate has made your love endure? Be as specific as you can, even if it’s about how they always fill up your gas tank for you every time it gets low. You might also consider listing a few of your favorite, quirky things that your partner does, however small.

3. Make a few specific new promises that will have meaning to your spouse. For example, “I promise to let you be your own person, Whenever we don’t share an interest in something, I promise to support YOUR interest and be your biggest cheerleader.” Or even, “I promise to greet you when you come home from work, and stop everything for even just a few seconds to let you know that you bring me joy whenever you enter the house.” That sort of thing.

4. Talk a little about the future, your hopes for the coming years together.

5. Finish with a few words about why you’ve chosen to renew your vows on this day. (Here would be the place to pop out a new ring or some surprise memento of the occasion, or even an old photo of your first wedding day in a tiny new frame or locket….Not necessary, but great if you are the sentimental and creative type!)

Remember, your own vows are optional. Elvis (or your friendly wedding minister) has got you covered, either way. At Viva Las Vegas we LOVE weddings, but the incredible wedding vow renewals we see and are moved by each day have a special place in our hearts! Come see us, again! And best wishes to Alcinda and Luis, and all of our July wedding renewal couples. It’s been a record month for eternal love!
