September was a surprisingly busy month for Brides & Grooms. At Viva Las Vegas we had another record number of Brides & Grooms say farewell to their single lives. The weather was spectacular and the Garden and Gazebo ceremonies couldn’t have been more beautiful. There were traditional and themed ceremonies and a great number of vow renewals.
Thank you September Brides & Grooms for your patronage. Please enjoy the many Brides & Grooms photos below. We look forward to seeing you new Brides for vow renewals in the future. Wishing you all a beautiful fall season.
It was a dark and breezy summer night in Las Vegas. A perfect night for a wedding. There was an unsettling feeling that I just couldn’t shake. My job was to pick up my next Bride & Groom and chauffeur them to the wedding chapel. I arrived at the Luxor hotel and they began to slowly walk towards me. There walk was almost rhythmic, as if a drum would beat with every step they took. The couple had their friends in tow and they all seemed out of it.
I began to see blood, a steering wheel and a handsome couple….just then, it hit me! They would have driven themselves, but they died on their way to their wedding. The prom queen was invited to the celebration, but she too had an accident of her own. These lovebirds were in full Zombie regalia and mode. For this young couple it was easy to stare into each others eyes as their Minister led them into…the dead zone.
The 7~K Glow run is happening on Sunday October 7th in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. It promises to be an event to remember. It will be a 7-K run through the downtown area. There will be thousands of costumed runners from the novice to the avid runner. No streakers allowed (bum-mer). I always marveled at the streakers back in the 70’s, I loved the disruption, and it always tickled my funny bone as a kid.
There will be bursts of music to encourage the runners throughout the route, how fun is that? The finish line and the reward for a run well done will be a BLOCK PARTY downtown. It promises to be a fun and unique experience, hope you can make it. If you decide to be a runaway Bride, run to our alter at Viva Las Vegas weddings to complete your weekend.
Our First Bride is from Georgia. She remembers wearing her grandmothers bridal dress as a child, playing dress-up. She never dreamed it would stand the test of time. As they say, “old trends always come back.” This lovely Brides grandmother wore this at her own daughters wedding, and now her grand daughter had the dress altered, so that she could wear it on her very special day. She looked like a young Audrey Hepburn ready for Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Our second Bride is from Italy, and decided to wear her mothers wedding dress. Had I not been versed, I would have thought it was off the rack. It was a stunning dress, and our beautiful Bride most definitely did this dress justice. It was so modern and chic.
So, ladies, if your having a bit of a time searching for the right dress, you may not have to look very far. As in these Brides cases, their dresses were in a nearby closet just waiting to be worn again. Oh joy!
Wedding renewals are our business. These three couples are married a combined 70 years.. One couple is married 44 years and the other two a successful 13 years each. It is always wonderful to see couples renewing their vows, especially in such a fun way. All together now! They even matched. Gal’s you looked marrrrrvelous!
If you are a considering a vow renewal, there is no set time or day that it has to be. I have met couples that have been married 1 year and have decided to renew, and I have met couples that waited til their 6oth.
I personally did it at 5 years, and it meant so much. I encourage you to say “I-Do,” all over again with a traditional or themed ceremony to suit your personalities. You won’t regret it. Just call 702-384-0771 for more details or go to www.VivaLasVegasweddings.com to view your many options. We look forward to your visit.
They traveled 14 hours with friends and family to have their own Las Vegas wedding ceremony. Kelly & Gary are from Edinburgh and have dated for seven years. They decided the way they wanted to make their union official was by traveling over 4900 miles to the United States to make Viva Las Vegas their wedding destination.
They booked their amazing Pink Caddy wedding with Elvis and it was a hit! Our Bride looked amazing, and her Groom looked gallant with his tartan print kilt and his sporran in tow. One of my favorite personal touches of their special day was the lovely handmade floral pin (photo below) that everyone -friend and guest alike displayed.
The fun filled ceremony was followed by a cake and champagne toast reception for all to enjoy. Thank you to our Scottish friends for the honor of full-filling your dream ceremony~ we loved having you.
