Barb and Andy Fyfe,Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel‘s Couple of the Week, pillaged the hearts of our staff during their recent Pirate-Themed ceremony. As the pair swashbuckled down the aisle and promised to share their booty, music of the High Seas and theatrical fog filled the salty air. That’s just how we do things here at the chapel.
The radiant couple (and even their guests) were elaborately costumed, putting Jack Sparrow himself to shame. Literally. The Fyfe’s told us, ” We all went down to the TI in full costume after the ceremony. Everyone kept asking us when the (TI pirate) show started….One guy (a photo op) on the Strip was dressed as Jack Sparrow, and he got visibly upset when tourists asked to take a picture with our group. ‘Jack’ was charging, and we weren’t!”
What’s even more impressive is that the bride made all of the costumes herself. Because the newlyweds are big fans of Renaissance faires and period finery, Barb cleverly made parts of the wardrobe reversible, for future versatility.
When asked about their advice to others who may be considering a wedding at Viva Las Vegas, the Fyfe’s said, “Do it! It’s absolutely the best way to bridge the gap between eloping and not. Have the key people you want, and skip the drama and stress. Spend the thousands you’ll save on a killer honeymoon. That’s what we are doing. Kauai in September!”
Congratulations to Barb and Andy! May the wind be at your backs all the way to Kauai!
This is an adorable couple who met in Taiwan. Wan Suaan and Charles were ready to take the plunge and say “yes.” A simple ceremony with just a few friends, a few family members and two sets of parents was exactly what this handsome couple wanted.
Our team of hairstylists and makeup artists made their way to the Aria hotel to assist this beautiful Bride on her unforgettable day.
February Brides were running to the alter looking their very best. Best wishes to all of the Sweethearts who were married with us on Valentines day and throughout February.

Come join me for a trip downtown to the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel! It will be a ride worth taking as Sheila & Wayne renew their wedding vows in a memorable way. Often it is the Bride who is so dreamy and romantic when it comes to renewing vows. However, in this case it was the GROOM joining his Bride in all of the excitement.
He was a hoot in his custom made pink, yes I said pink suit and shoes. He was a very happy chap from the moment he entered the limousine. The renewal went off without a hitch, and even a few tears were shed. Elvis drove the beaming couple into the wedding chapel and the rest was a scream. Our Bride looked like a picture out of Bride magazine.
I couldn’t be any more honored to have been there to share this “forever,” experience.
She said,” I Love you”, to her cardboard hunk, he said ( crickets sound off ). She has a ring, a bachelorette party, a wedding and a reception planned. She is so in love with Edward that she doesn’t mind that he’s quiet. He seems like a stand up guy. She is set to have her wedding, and cake, and eat it too. This lovely Las Vegas resident is about to say ‘I-do,” to a fellow she hardly knows.
Ok, well, she is writing her thesis and she is writing it about the female escapist fantasy in regards to love. She is about to wed the cardboard cutout of the dark and mysterious Edward Cullen from the Twilight series as a part of her project.
She has gained national attention with her story, and is about to stroll down the aisle at the world famous Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. We will be reporting on this Las Vegas “first,” right after the ceremony.

A romantic gesture is carried out by a Groom who is about to marry his Bride in Australia in May. The surprise felt like a scene out of a movie…but it truly was better. Our Groom had his lovely soon to be Bride dress like Marilyn Monroe. Then came the girls role in having the bride whisked away in a limousine wearing a blindfold and headphones. The Bride is brought along to the secret location~The Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel.
Our Bride is walked upstairs to the Elvis and Priscilla room where her Groom awaits her arrival for a surprise commitment ceremony. The Groom is dressed like Elvis and his friends are all dressed in flight suits that say “Top Gun.” The gals all join them, and the blindfold comes off.
Elvis is their minister and the great ceremony begins. All 24 of them traveled from down under to make this a weekend to remember and it truly was a bachelor and bachelorette’s weekend. The Groom had one more surprise and it was an outfit that had everyone in stitches. Just look for the flowers below.
Then the guys were off to go race car driving, the gals were off to lay out at a cabana by the pool and the strip clubs were to follow to finish off the ultimate bachelor and bachelorette’s weekend.
Cheers to our happy couple and their great friends!
You have been invited to a hair raising experience at Viva Las Vegas Weddings…
When most people think of a wedding, they think of white lace and a beautiful chapel or garden. Well, for Judy & John it was quite the opposite. They chose to invite their guests and inform them that a classic old school wedding was about to happen. After all, Frankenstein needs a mate. All guests were to use their imagination and come dressed for the occasion. Since it was late October, their guests were dressed to impress. It was a wedding to remember for this couple and their friends and family.
