When you book any wedding at Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel, you’ll receive a free web page. It’s where your wedding can be seen live-streaming, if you choose, and it doubles as an invitation to friends and family. You can post photos and write a little something about your life together. Personalize your page however you like!
We love reading the stories couples post on their pages, and looking at photos from times they’ve shared before their wedding (or wedding vow renewal) day!
Recently, George and Evelyn tied the knot with us. Their words and photos made us smile, and we thought they’d serve as a wonderful example of how to create a lovely, personal web page for your upcoming wedding.
Tell the story of how you met each other:
After months of emailing each other and finding out how much we shared in common we then agreed to finally meet. We did not describe our looks or share any photos although George kept joking that he had orange and white striped hair. George and Evelyn agreed to meet outside The West Goshen Shopping Center Acme Market in West Chester PA. Evelyn was dressed in a black choir robe with a rubber chicken on her head to be sure that George would know exactly who she was when he drove up to the bench outside the Acme. When George drove up to the bench he immediately knew it was Evelyn but Evelyn was expecting to see George with orange and white striped hair …but… George had no hair on his head at all!!! George and Evelyn laughed alot about that. George and Evelyn spent the rest of the day exploring beautiful Jim Thorpe PA and have been together ever since.
After 15 years of being together George asked Evelyn to celebrate their 15 anniversary of being together at Virginia Beach VA. George booked a hotel room with a beautiful ocean view right on the beach. While traveling to Virginia Beach a storm came up which turned out to be a Nor Easter. George had a challenge driving across the 17 1/2 miles Bay Bridge Tunnel to Virginia beach due to rain and high winds but made it across. The weather only worsened after checking into the hotel and from the Ocean View window the Waves were wild and sand began blowing into the room from the beach from the high winds. The sound of the wind blowing through the hotel was quite eerie. George arranged to eat dinner at an Italian restaurant across the street and George and Evelyn had to run across the street in heavy rain and wind. Due to the severe weather conditions there was hardly any one in the restaurant except the staff. Evelyn and George had their choice of tables to choose from. After the waitress took the order George handed Evelyn a read glass heart encased in another porcelain ceramic heart that Evelyn had given George on their first Valentines Day in 2001 together. George stated that he was giving this to back to Evelyn as a symbol to remind him of his love for Evelyn and stated to Evelyn ‘Well this isn’t exactly how I wanted to do this.. I wanted to have you out on the beach in the moonlight to say this to you but I am just going to say this. Will you marry me? I really think we should get married.” Evelyn looked at George in pleasant shock and almost fell off of her chair since it had been 15 years together it really caught Evelyn off guard and when Evelyn re-composed herself she said to George “Of course I will marry you – you idiot” I love you!” The waitress came back to our table and she took a picture of us on this happy occasion and dessert was on the house!
Thanks to George and Evelyn for your amazing story. You made us want to share it! Best wishes to the two of you for happiness always in your future life together!Share on Facebook
