We hope that as you plan your Las Vegas Wedding, you’ll find it an even more user-friendly way to explore all our Traditional, Themed, and Elvis Wedding packages. It’s also designed to help you easily create a customized wedding in Vegas with just the elements you want.
If you look around our new site for wedding packages and upgrades, you won’t want to miss our “About” pages that explain all the ways we try to make ours THE Vegas wedding chapel for you. Which is why we’re sharing some of the ways “We Shine Brighter” from those pages–to give you an idea of our goals for making yours a seamless, dreamlike wedding experience from beginning to end. Here are the first eight—next week, eight more!
1. We customize your wedding so that it is uniquely YOU.
At Viva Las Vegas Weddings, our dedicated and helpful staff members understand that this is the most important day of your lives. We know you want every aspect of your ceremony to express who you are as a couple. That’s why we’re happy to work with you to create a wedding package that’s elegant or high-spirited or even a bit on the kitschy-Vegas side. Our packages range from classic traditional weddings to wild and crazy Elvis ceremonies. Plus, we offer a wide range of themed weddings. Can’t find one that’s just right for you? We’ll customize every element of your wedding, working with you to create a vow exchange that is like no one else’s. Ever.
2. We pride ourselves on the warmest, friendliest and most experienced staff of wedding planners and entertainers.
Our caring and talented wedding experts also boast professional backgrounds in music, entertainment and hospitality. We bring the expertise needed to make your wedding ceremony a truly theatrical production. And we do it seamlessly. We give the same loving care to weddings vow renewals as we do weddings, and we have performed same-sex ceremonies since the day we opened our doors. Our number one priority is to make you feel comfortable and carefree on the day of your big event! We do everything for you, so you can enjoy making memories with each other, and your guests. Your wedding day is your day to shine!
3. We have the largest freestanding chapel on the Las Vegas Strip.
Our Main Chapel reflects California mission style architecture, with soaring vaulted ceilings and stunning stained glass insets. It offers a touch of rustic flair amidst an invitingly elegant décor. The ambiance will put you (and up to 100 guests) at ease from the moment you walk inside. The Main Chapel is also the place where all of our elaborate Themed Weddings are held. The chapel features state-of-the-art theatrical lighting, with incredible set pieces and smoke effects that can make your wedding look like a professional stage production. Okay, we know you want to look great in your wedding photos, and you want your guests to feel chills when the music begins and smoke billows out around the pews. Our chapel is set up to make the most of the visual and musical aspects of your wedding. As always, though, you’re free to choose your effects, your music, and all the elements that will make your ceremony have the best “look” for you.
4. We feature the widest array of choices for Traditional Wedding Packages in Las Vegas.
Even our most basic indoor and outdoor weddings include flowers, photography and everything you need for a simple, intimate wedding starting from under $300. If you want more frills, choose from our exquisite upgraded packages, all the way up to our to-die-for Fairy Tale Themed Wedding. This incomparable package includes a Fairy Tale Coach Entrance with two coachmen as attendants, costumes for bride and groom (or wedding gown and tux rental), live musician (pianist or organist) or singer, all the lavish extras you could hope for, and even a cake and champagne reception! Need something more reserved? We have everything in between, or we can customize a-la-carte style from a basic traditional package.
5. Want a traditionally elegant wedding reception, too? We have a SPECTACULAR reception venue right next door!
Whether or not your Las Vegas wedding takes place at one of our wedding chapels, our stunning Ron DeCar’s Event Center is only footsteps away from any of them. Ron DeCar, owner of Viva Las Vegas Weddings, hosts thrilling receptions in a setting reminiscent of the nostalgia of Old Vegas. The Event Center features a vintage bar and lounge, a variety of delectable buffet or sit-down dinner options, live music, and a sizzling dance floor. So, if you want to include an exciting wedding reception with your memorable Viva Las Vegas wedding, nobody does it better, and nothing could be more convenient. Owner Ron also happily welcomes local couples who are looking for a unique venue after their more traditional church weddings elsewhere.
6. We offer a choice of FIVE gorgeous indoor and outdoor wedding chapels.
Besides our two beautifully appointed indoor chapels—our Main Chapel and our intimate Little Chapel, decorated in deep burgundy and ivory—you can choose from two picturesque outdoor venues, featuring lush landscaping and twinkling white lights for evening ceremonies. Or, how about tying the knot in an eye-popping retro (50’s-era) diner? It’s an amazing setting for weddings that include Elvis, Marilyn, or any other of our nostalgic icon “ministers.” After all, you should be able to choose the perfect setting for your vows! All of our chapels are located on one sprawling property, situated right on the Las Vegas Strip between the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino and fabulous Downtown Las Vegas.
7. We offer the widest variety of Traditional, Elvis, and Themed Wedding Ceremonies.
Chapel Weddings Las Vegas from a classic traditional wedding, one with Elvis, or a host of themed weddings from James Bond to James Brown, from Gangster to Gothic-themed. We’ve even got flying vampires, a cult favorite Rocky’s Horror wedding, and even an Egyptian-themed wedding ceremony—plus all the bells and whistles that create the necessary atmosphere . You won’t find a more diverse selection of wedding packages anywhere on the planet. And that’s not counting the ones that some couples dream up on their own. Let us know what you’re imagining, and we’ll do everything in our power to make it happen. We’re always delighted to work with you and your ideas.
8. We do on-location and adventure weddings, too!
We can marry you in a helicopter over the iconic lights of Las Vegas, at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, at a breathtaking desert and red rock overlook, or even at the Grand Canyon. These packages include all the extras and necessary transportation.
If these aren’t enough reasons for you to consider getting married (or renewing your wedding vows) with us, next week we’ll have eight more! Viva Las Vegas!
When you book any themed wedding at Viva Las Vegas Weddings, you’ll get all the bells and whistles in your all-inclusive wedding package, plus theatrical fog and lighting! We want to make your wedding an EVENT, and there’s nothing like billowing fog surrounding you as you glide down the aisle accompanied by spine-tingling themed music! You’ll only find these kinds of special effects at Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. You can bet that none of your guests will be expecting this kind of full-scale Hollywood-style production value!
If you choose our Elvis Pink Caddy wedding, Elvis drives you right down the aisle with high-beams piercing through the fog. Our Graveyard and Gothic weddings wouldn’t be the same without the cemetery tombstones, coffin for the minister (Dracula or Grim Reaper or Elvira or Zombie Elvis), and, of course, the cemetery fog! Rock ‘N Roll Themed Weddings with any music icon impersonator sizzle with our state-of-the-art lighting effects cutting through the chapel fog.
Our special fog effect becomes more like an ocean mist for our Elvis Blue Hawaii themed wedding or our Beach Party weddings. There’s also a heavy mist along the “river Nile” for our exotic Egyptian-Themed wedding in which the bride is carried down the aisle on Cleopatra’s Throne by two Egyptian manservants. If you decide on a more traditional wedding, or a simpler package at a more competitive price, you can always add theatrical fog as an upgrade, a la carte style.
Check out all of our Themed Wedding Packages on our website at www.vivalasvegasweddings.com and see what other special, one-of-a-kind features we offer! Questions? Please call one of our friendly staffers at 702-384-0771, or chat live online on our website.
Once you get married legally in Las Vegas, sometimes brides, grooms or both want to make a name change. Contrary to what some couples believe, this isn’t automatic with the marriage license! You may need to do a little more paperwork after the honeymoon. Here we’ve made things easier for you with this to-do list that makes the whole operation a piece of (wedding) cake. Below you’ll find all the steps to follow–and do them in order–when you are planning to change one or both of your last names. (If you need instructions on how to get your marriage license in Las Vegas before the wedding, go to: http://blog.vivalasvegasweddings.com/2017/03/how-to-get-your-marriage-license-in-las-vegas/
1. Change your name on your social security card. Be sure to do this first, because you’ll need this to make other name changes elsewhere.
Visit the Social Security Administration’s website and fill out the application for a new social security card. That’s all you need to do. Your social security number remains the same–only the name will be different. It takes only a few days to get your new card.
2. Change the name on your driver’s license at your local DMV.
You may need to visit your Department of Motor Vehicles office in person to get a new license. Bring your old license, your certified marriage license and your new social security card.
3. Change your bank accounts to your new name.
Go to your nearest branch in person and bring along your new driver’s license and your marriage license. You’ll want to order new checks and debit and credit cards while you’re at it. If you’ve grown tired of a bank that’s been subjecting you to a lot of extra fees, this might be a good time to open a brand new account in another bank that doesn’t charge fees!
4. Other name changes to think about:
Once you have your new social security card and driver’s license in your married name, all you need to do is figure out what other accounts–utility companies and the like– need updating. Some changes can be made by a phone call, although some companies may ask for a copy of your marriage certificate or social security card. Most of the changes can be made over time as bills arrive in the mail. The bill itself will serve as a reminder to make name changes. Most important of all, be sure to tell your employer so your new name will appear on their payroll!
If this sounds too complicated or time consuming, you also can pay a small fee to companies you’ll find online (type in “Name Change Kit”) and you can do it all with only one form to fill out.
Best wishes to all our newly married and newly-named couples from Viva Las Vegas Weddings!
When you book any wedding at Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel, you’ll receive a free web page. It’s where your wedding can be seen live-streaming, if you choose, and it doubles as an invitation to friends and family. You can post photos and write a little something about your life together. Personalize your page however you like!
We love reading the stories couples post on their pages, and looking at photos from times they’ve shared before their wedding (or wedding vow renewal) day!
Recently, George and Evelyn tied the knot with us. Their words and photos made us smile, and we thought they’d serve as a wonderful example of how to create a lovely, personal web page for your upcoming wedding.
Tell the story of how you met each other:
After months of emailing each other and finding out how much we shared in common we then agreed to finally meet. We did not describe our looks or share any photos although George kept joking that he had orange and white striped hair. George and Evelyn agreed to meet outside The West Goshen Shopping Center Acme Market in West Chester PA. Evelyn was dressed in a black choir robe with a rubber chicken on her head to be sure that George would know exactly who she was when he drove up to the bench outside the Acme. When George drove up to the bench he immediately knew it was Evelyn but Evelyn was expecting to see George with orange and white striped hair …but… George had no hair on his head at all!!! George and Evelyn laughed alot about that. George and Evelyn spent the rest of the day exploring beautiful Jim Thorpe PA and have been together ever since.
After 15 years of being together George asked Evelyn to celebrate their 15 anniversary of being together at Virginia Beach VA. George booked a hotel room with a beautiful ocean view right on the beach. While traveling to Virginia Beach a storm came up which turned out to be a Nor Easter. George had a challenge driving across the 17 1/2 miles Bay Bridge Tunnel to Virginia beach due to rain and high winds but made it across. The weather only worsened after checking into the hotel and from the Ocean View window the Waves were wild and sand began blowing into the room from the beach from the high winds. The sound of the wind blowing through the hotel was quite eerie. George arranged to eat dinner at an Italian restaurant across the street and George and Evelyn had to run across the street in heavy rain and wind. Due to the severe weather conditions there was hardly any one in the restaurant except the staff. Evelyn and George had their choice of tables to choose from. After the waitress took the order George handed Evelyn a read glass heart encased in another porcelain ceramic heart that Evelyn had given George on their first Valentines Day in 2001 together. George stated that he was giving this to back to Evelyn as a symbol to remind him of his love for Evelyn and stated to Evelyn ‘Well this isn’t exactly how I wanted to do this.. I wanted to have you out on the beach in the moonlight to say this to you but I am just going to say this. Will you marry me? I really think we should get married.” Evelyn looked at George in pleasant shock and almost fell off of her chair since it had been 15 years together it really caught Evelyn off guard and when Evelyn re-composed herself she said to George “Of course I will marry you – you idiot” I love you!” The waitress came back to our table and she took a picture of us on this happy occasion and dessert was on the house!
Thanks to George and Evelyn for your amazing story. You made us want to share it! Best wishes to the two of you for happiness always in your future life together!
