Vegas Wedding REceptions
A couple poses at our Event Center reception entrance

Well, we’re closing out another year with a fun-to-read and very detailed description of one couple’s experience with a wedding and reception at Viva Las Vegas Weddings. While not everything went off without a hitch—things sometimes happen beyond anyone’s control–we loved how they explained what we tried to do to make their day as special as it could be anyway!

We offer over five wedding chapels and four reception venues to choose from on property, and we always do our best to make sure you can customize every aspect of your wedding and reception. From a cake and champagne toast, to a full sit down gourmet dinner buffet, we do it all! From a tiny vow renewal with Elvis singing one song to a full-on traditional wedding production, to a musical wedding filled with singers and production numbers…we do that too!

Great Experience
We live part time the Vegas area and part time in Toronto, so this seemed a great way to have a wedding. We did a lot of research on line. This company responded immediately to any and all requests. They aren’t the cheapest out there, but neither are they the most expensive. One big selling point is that while they do have some photos included in most packages, they allow guests to take photos during the ceremony. My now wife, is a real photo buff, so he had all the friends and family busy taking the pics during the ceremony.

We went in early June to book the wedding for December 1. We were met by Monica, who showed us around, myself in person, and my wife on FaceTime. Everything we would need was explained to us.

We booked the Elvis wedding, including 3 songs, and driving in, in the pink cadillac.

They have a couple of reception venues, one larger than the other. We had a fairly small group, thinking originally about 25 people, but selected the larger room because it seemed quite a bit nicer. They allowed this because our wedding was on a Thursday, and its not as busy as the weekend.

In early November we went in to finalize arrangements. We would have a buffet dinner, and an open bar, for a 3 hour reception. I made a further payment.

About a week later we were called, and told that they had double booked the big room. We were offered a couple of options, including using the smaller room, etc. We negotiated, and they threw in the pink cadillac entrance, premium liquor, and a discount, so we took the smaller room. I should say here that while we were a little disappointed at the time, when we got into the well decorated smaller room, we were more than pleased.

I’m a believer that all businesses make mistakes, but the test is how they fix them. This company fixed the problem very well.

We now had Monica as the wedding planner, and Aryellis as our reception coordinator. We got a call a few days before the wedding asking what types of premium wines, beers and liquor we would like. We were able to regularly communicate, and received complete cooperation, and prompt answers.

On the wedding day, about 90 minutes before the pick up time, our Limo Driver, Rome called to confirm the time. As sometimes happens there was an accident in the I 15 delaying him, but he called regularly to update us on his whereabouts, and said that he’d communicated with the chapel, and there would be no problem. He arrived, but unfortunately there was a NASCAR display (burn outs) on the strip, causing very heavy traffic. He was great though, the limo was a lot of fun.

On our arrival we were given further proof that this is an honest company. We’d received the final invoice about a week before the reception, and were prepared to pay. The advised that they had screwed up some math, and we actually owed about $150 less than the invoice showed. How often does this happen!!!

We got to the chapel, and as it happened we were that last scheduled wedding of the day. Monica took us in, and explained everything. She took us out, and then allowed in the guests.

We met Elvis, (the venue owner Ron) outside in the Cadillac. He spoke to us for a few minutes, and had the doors to the chapel open, and in we went.

He sang three songs through the service, and just generally made it a lot of fun. The photographer then took pics of us, Elvis, and our family and guests. We then backed out of the chapel and got some pics by the neon sign with our names.

Vegas reception venue
We can accommodate your color choices and our gourmet bakers do custom wedding cakes, too!

Our guests went into the reception hall, and in a few minutes Elvis walked in with us and introduced us to the guests.

The food was great, and they had a great young lady as a D.J.

We had a great time, and our friends said that “This is a wedding to remember”.

We also had included a DVD of the ceremony & had it live streamed. The streaming is available for a month. Our friends and families loved being able to watch & we loved that they could.

We received the photo proofs on line in a couple of days. We’ve ordered a bunch, the photographer was great.

We’d totally recommend Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapels to anyone.

Frank Sinatra Impersonator Wedding in Vegas: A Smooth, Iconic Review from TripAdvisor!

Sinatra Wedding Vegas
Dance to romantic Sinatra songs during your wedding or wedding vow renewal ceremony!

We were thrilled recently when we came across this glowing review on TripAdvisor about our Frank Sinatra Impersonator Themed Wedding! (It’s a variation of our Tom Jones impersonator wedding, the Wassup Pussycat Package, see at: http://www.vivalasvegasweddings.com/las-vegas-wedding-packages/themed-weddings/wassup-pussycat-wedding )

You can actually substitute any iconic singer impersonator for this uniquely Las Vegas wedding package! The same is true for our Rock ‘n Roll Themed Weddings, where you can choose any legendary rock singer as your “minister.” Not on the website? We’ll do our best to use our Vegas entertainment connections to get your requested impersonator to perform and help you tie the knot or renew your vows.

Below we are sharing this lovely review of a couple who recently renewed their wedding vows with us for a special anniversary. We hope it will give you the best insight of all into what to expect on your own big day. We certainly hope to live up to this for ALL of our Viva Las Vegas Weddings!

Marvellous Viva Las Vegas
My Wife and I often spoke about how much fun it would be to renew our wedding vows. And what better place to do it than the wedding capitol of the world, Las Vegas. Our daughters wedding was just the push we needed to turn a dream into reality and so we booked a short break to Las Vegas to coincide with our wedding anniversary in late September. I researched the wedding chapels that are available in Las Vegas. They all look good, but didn’t offer that “pazaaz” and real Las Vegas feel I was looking for. Then I found the Viva Las Vegas wedding site, and after a few minutes looking at the options and themes available I knew that this was the place we were looking for. It offered everything we wanted. A ceremony with all the bright lights, energy and offbeat over the top service we were looking for. The people who work for the chapel have been superb throughout and arranged the ceremony we wanted, with a Frank Sinatra impersonator performing the service where he sang two classic Frank songs. Golden oldies from the great days of big band music. I can honestly say that it was a fantastic ceremony and one we will remember and cherish for ever. It truly topped a fantastic holiday in Vegas. Everything ran super smoothly from the original booking, all the way through to the ceremony itself. All the staff were superb, from the friendly limo driver to the girls on the front desk, the wedding coordinator and the photographer who took some cracking photos’ during the service that we are absolutely delighted with. We had an extra camera shoot at the iconic Vegas sign after, and cant wait to see these pictures once they come through. Of course the best of the lot was the Frank Sinatra Impersonator. He was simply fantastic. He was very friendly, a quite brilliant singer and appeared to enjoy it as much as we did. We also took up the live-streaming option so that our friends and family could watch from all over the world on their computers. We had friends in China, extended family in Australia, and our own family, friends and work colleagues at home in England who all tuned in and they all said the coverage was excellent. The pictures were crisp, colourful and the sound was spot on.
These guys at Viva Las Vegas really are superb.
Thanks “Frank” and thank you Viva Las Vegas.

A Day in the Life of the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel

Rocky HOrror Wedding Vegas
Another day, another Time Warp at Viva Las Vegas Weddings! Photo Credit: Las Vegas Review-Journal

On a recent Saturday, the local newspaper, the Las Vegas Review-Journal, hung out with us to document a typical day at Viva Las Vegas Weddings. While we had several elegantly traditional weddings going on that day, it’s easy to see why our wild and wacky Themed Weddings got the photographer’s attention most of the time! It’s pretty amazing just to be a guest witnessing ONE of our themed ceremonies, but a whole day of them–with all the costume and set changes involved– can mean sensory overload for those who aren’t used to it!

Here’s a link to the full article, if you’d like to read the RJ’s take on things and see all the great photos they shot while visiting the chapel: https://www.reviewjournal.com/life/las-vegas-chapel-does-rocky-horror-star-trek-elvis-weddings-video/

Elvis pink Caddy Wedding
Ron DeCar as Elvis drives a couple–in matching shades and sideburns–into the chapel and down the aisle! Photo Credit: Las Vegas Review-Journal

If you’d like just a taste of some lesser-known facts included in the story on our chapel, here’s an excerpt from the article, below:

(Ron) DeCar opened the chapel in 1999 after 14 years as lead singer and emcee in “Folies Bergere” at the Tropicana. He says the chapel typically hosts about 300 weddings a month. Its record is 550 in a month. On 7/7/07, 150 couples got hitched, and 230 on 11/11/11.
Just over half of all weddings at Viva Las Vegas are traditional. And the theme weddings? “I think it’s people who are, obviously, more lighthearted and want to do something crazy and don’t want to have a mundane, normal thing,” DeCar says.
But the day isn’t all about fog machines, flashing lights and costumed characters. There are also couples such as Lee McCulloch and Stuart Dootson, who came to Las Vegas from England to get married. They’ve been together 17 years, and while nobody is there to see them marry, the chapel live-streams each ceremony for far-off family and friends.
At 4 p.m. comes an Elvis-themed wedding. And while an Elvis wedding probably never can be devoid of cheesiness — vows include promises “every day of my life to be a hunka hunka burning love” and that “I will never have suspicious minds” — watching the couple end the ceremony by dancing to “It’s Now or Never” is sort of adorable.
With his entertainment industry know-how and hefty contact list, DeCar can concoct just about any sort of ceremony. He once put on a Liberace ceremony that included a song by a Cher impersonator, and another time crafted a ceremony that included Mr. Spock from “Star Trek” teleporting into a Camelot theme.
With lights, music, smoke effects, actors and, most of all, the sense of showmanship that go into every ceremony, “every half hour is a performance,” DeCar says.

Many of the folks who come to us for one of our creative wedding themes are renewing their vows for an anniversary, so don’t be shy about calling to do this, too, if you’re already married! For more information, visit our website or call us at 702-384-0771. www.vivalasvegasweddings.com

Every once in awhile, staff members at Viva Las Vegas Chapel check out our reviews on the social media sites, just to see how we’re doing. It’s one way to feel good about what we do each day, and it’s also a good way to see if there are ways we can improve. We’re constantly trying to find out how we can communicate better with our customers and their guests, to help couples know what to expect of their Las Vegas Wedding. Most of all, it’s an important means of seeing things from the perspective of the couples who pass through our big doors each day, in a pink Cadillac, or the regular way!

We thought we’d share some of our recent Facebook reviews with you, in case you’re trying to decide on a chapel to get married in Las Vegas, or to renew your wedding vows. Most Las Vegas chapels offer both Traditional and Elvis Wedding packages, but we try to stand out with our quality of service, variety of chapel settings, and our spectacular Themed and Custom Themed Weddings. Here are a few reviews that made our day!

Shout out to Blaze who was charming, funny and made it very easy, Elvis was awesome, my husband and friends had the best day, cannot recommend this venue highly enough.

So glad to see this place is still open. We got married here 10 years ago, it was so much fun! I don’t know if they have reopened the themed hotel but that was closed back then. We were married by Elvis in the gothic graveyard chapel… way spooky and weird and perfect for us! The package included limo service to and from our hotel, and professional photos/vhs copy. Great memories!

I wanted the most unique wedding with a friendly budget and after searching venue after venue, I found Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. We went the very non-traditional route and threw a Halloween wedding. We had aerial dancers, was driven down the aisle by Elvis and a Las Vegas Showgirl and exchanged vows with the Grim Reaper by our side. The sound system and effects are spectacular. We wanted theatrics and we sure got it!

It’s been almost a year, April 1, 2016 was our wedding day. The chapel was perfect, the atmosphere was exactly what we wanted for our day. I came down with shingles shortly before our wedding day, so I was in so much pain, but the staff at the chapel did their best to make me comfortable and everything turned out beautiful. We are returning to vegas next week to celebrate our first anniversary and to have a mini honeymoon. We’ll come back again to this chapel someday to renew our vows as well.
Thanks viva las vegas for making our wedding a day to remember!

Me and my partner Brian got married on the 15th May and honestly we could not recommend enough. They where there the whole way through planning and answered any questions we had. They treated us with love and respect on the day of the wedding and we found every single member of staff to be friendly and welcoming. We could not have asked for a better wedding. Thank you to every one of you. You made our special day that little bit extra special. If you plan on getting married, I urge you to choose viva Las Vegas weddings!!

We at Viva Las Vegas Weddings thank you for your kind input, and we vow to try to live up to your expectations. Let us know how we can make YOUR day, and we’ll always try our hardest to surpass your expectations! Our deepest thanks from Viva Las Vegas Weddings!

“CLASSIC VEGAS WEDDING WITH ELVIS! PERFECT!!”

Reviewed 4 weeks ago
We just got married on March 22nd. We chose Vegas because we love the atmosphere of the strip. We chose Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel because we loved the idea of a wedding with Elvis as the officiant! The staff at VLVWC was extremely helpful from day one. Making sure we got the wedding we wanted, and boy did we! We got married in the main chapel, had 34 guests in attendance, and we were driven into the chapel by an awesome Elvis impersonator in a 1957 pink Cadillac convertible!! They provided smoke and lights, Elvis sang, he did our traditional vows then added his own “Elvis style” vows for us which were awesome, and then we exited the chapel in the Cadillac. The photographer, the staff, and especially Elvis were all fantastic and friendly! We couldn’t have asked for a better ceremony! All those in attendance said it was the best and most fun wedding they’d ever been to!

What Couples are Saying About Viva Las Vegas Weddings

vegas themed wedding Elvis
If you’re getting married in Las Vegas, there are many chapels to choose from, and you can end up reading a lot of reviews to get an idea of what to expect from each one. To be honest, we’ve had a handful of cringe-worthy reviews, even though most are so nice they make us blush. We take any critical reviews in stride and try to learn from them, but mostly we are gratified to read the glowing ones, the ones that we aspire to be equal to. We WANT to exceed your expectations. Communication seems to be the key, and we can’t thank our wonderful couples enough for keeping us informed about exactly what they want, so we can try our hardest to make everyone’s wedding day as perfect as we can. Thanks everyone for your reviews that inspire us and keep us on our toes!

For those who are looking into getting married in a traditional wedding in Las Vegas, or one with Elvis, or a wildly fun themed wedding, we thought we’d share a few reviews we just came across on TripAdvisor. Not to toot our own horns TOO much….

Imagine … A beautiful star filled night, just a sprinkle of rain to make everything fresh, a full moon and the love of your life. What could make your night even better? Well how about flying over the Vegas lights in a helicopter? How about getting married while you are up there?
That’s exactly what we did and it was the most amazing experience of our lives. From the first phone call to the chapel we experienced the best service. A limo picked us up at our hotel, delivered us to the chapel and returned us to our hotel. A cake and champagne were included with the package and our photographer was Excellent! I would recommend these guys to anyone!!

“Wonderful Memories of Our Special Day 9.10.15”

Reviewed November 8, 2015
When we got engaged in March, we knew we would get married in Las Vegas. We originally had plans to go on vacation elsewhere with some friends but changed as soon as we told them the news. I will admit that I was hesitant when trying to find a place to have the ceremony performed. We knew we just wanted something simple but tasteful, nothing over the top. The first thing people seem to think when getting married in Las Vegas is “Are you getting married by Elvis?” (We did not) It’s one then to plan a wedding when you have easy access to the area, it’s another when you are trying to do it all online because you’re half a country away.
From the first time I emailed Viva Las Vegas Weddings and started speaking with Shannon, my mind was put at ease. Shannon was there to help every step of the way, answering every question and addressing all my concerns. If I changed my mind on something or wanted to add something, she was there to help. We were able to arrange the whole ceremony through emails back and forth. I wanted to make sure that every detail was ironed out and that there would be no glitches once we got to Las Vegas.
When the day came we were picked up and driven to the chapel. We had decided on the outdoor chapel, at night, for the ceremony. It was beautiful! The whole setting was like we were in a park somewhere. I just can not express how perfect the night was. Although it was the hottest day of the week, 104 at 7 PM, we were taken care of with fans outside and air conditioning during the reception.
Everything was explained to us as far as what was going to be done, how the ceremony would play out, and then the reception. There was no misunderstandings on anything, never once was there a worry to be had. We were able to enjoy the whole night. Ron and his staff did an incredible job with everything.
Once we were done, we had plans to go out to eat on Fremont St. The limo driver, who would have just taken us back to the hotel, offered to drive us wherever we needed to go. We would have taken him up on it if we did not still have half a cake with us.
I would say to anyone wanting to get married in Vegas to book your ceremony here. I know there are other reviews that don’t paint such a good picture but I can not think of one negative that we experienced here.We had a Elvis Pink Caddy wedding at Las Vegas Wedding Chapel and it was fab, the staff were very helpful in the planning and replied to my emails very quickly. On the day the staff were outstanding, Elvis was brilliant, and took time to talk to us before the wedding to help personalise the actual ceremony. He had a brilliant sense of humour and made the whole event very memorable. All our guests thought it was the best thing about the whole holiday. I would recommend this chapel to anyone , it helps that guest are allowed to take photos ( they can’t do this at other chapels).
