As the clock strikes midnight, we’ll be celebrating under the fireworks of the Las Vegas Strip, hoping all those happy brides and grooms will be toasting another new year of wedded bliss ahead!
Planning ahead for a wedding in 2016? We’re here to help you create and customize the perfect Las Vegas wedding for you.
Thank you for sharing your wedding days and anniversaries with us over the past year. We are looking forward to all the fun and tender moments ahead in 2016! Happy New Year to all!
Viva Las Vegas Weddings will soon be celebrating the last weddings of 2015, with an eye to a bright New Year of fantastic weddings ahead! If you’re planning to elope to Vegas, renew your vows in a unique way, or even to have an exquisitely simple traditional wedding ceremony, now’s the time to choose the most memorable wedding date for you.
A New Year’s Eve wedding is a wonderful way to start 2016, of course, and this holiday is hands-down the most romantic evening for weddings EVER. Who gets to view fireworks high above The Strip after their wedding vows are exchanged? But then, here are some other great suggestions to consider, if you need a little more time to plan ahead:
1. How about 1/6/16? Gotta love those repeating digits! It falls midweek, but that’s when you can take great advantage of fewer crowds and great deals on luxury rooms in Las Vegas’s swankiest hotels.
2. Then there’s 1/16/16, a Saturday! Book early, this day will go quickly on our Viva Las Vegas Wedding schedule because it falls on a weekend.
3. 6/16/16 makes a wonderful date for June brides! Or 6/1/16 is a cleverly bookend-ish June wedding day for your traditional or Elvis wedding. Either way you go.
4. Valentine’s Day, our most popular day for Las Vegas weddings, falls on a Sunday. But we’re sure the Saturday before will be very busy, too, with incredible Vegas honeymoon plans in the works for the day of love to follow!
5. Okay, if you want to celebrate fewer anniversaries, you COULD go for Leap Day, February 29th… But to put a positive spin on it, that’s a truly UNIQUE wedding day, falling on a Monday. (Some couples prefer the weekday weddings. Sometimes they prefer the idea of guests watching the live streaming feed of the ceremony from all over the country, rather than in person.) Die-hard friends and family will show up in Las Vegas any day of the week!
Best wishes to all of our happy couples wed here in 2015! We are looking forward to more fun, joyful tears, and glorious Viva Las Vegas weddings in 2016! To book yours, visit us at: www.vivalasvegasweddings.com
New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day weddings in Las Vegas are THE most exciting way to get married. Here’s why: You can toast each other at midnight (after the ceremony) on the Las Vegas Strip under a canopy of breathtaking fireworks. About half a million people will be partying with you, and it’s a sight like no other. You will NEVER forget your wedding night, and you’ll never forget your anniversary, either! It’s the most sexy and romantic night of the year in Vegas, and the best way to start a new year and a new life together.
Our Elvis and traditional New Year’s Eve wedding specials start at just $225, including all the basics. You can add-on whatever extras will make your day perfect, or opt for an all-inclusive package or themed wedding with limousine transportation to and from your hotel. (Ask our knowledgeable staff about Strip closures and how to get to the chapel on side streets to avoid traffic if you’re driving here on your own. Limo service may be limited during evening hours.) Favorite themed weddings for New Year’s Eve are the James Bond themed wedding, Gangster themed wedding, or one of our Rock ‘n Roll superstar impersonator weddings. That way, you and your guests can dress to the nines and go straight into clubbing and New Year’s revelry.
Outdoor Garden or Gazebo weddings are popular on New Year’s, for their twinkling white lights and aura of magic by night, and their nostalgic romance by day. You can also choose our 50’s Doo Wop Diner chapel, or our gorgeous Main Chapel for any Elvis, traditional or themed wedding package.

Planning a winter wedding in Las Vegas? In December and January, hotel rates are way down (except for New Year’s Eve, of course!) and temperatures are generally mild–perfect for a winter wedding. Traditional brides know their wedding photos will be stunning with winter colors of red and white. Our Main Chapel is generally decorated in red poinsettias for the season, too. Sunny, mild afternoons often allow for outdoor gazebo or garden weddings in winter months, and these venues are fairly well sheltered from the elements.
Not a traditional bride? Prefer to do your own themed-thing on your wedding day? Consider a Frozen themed wedding. No, you won’t find it on our website, but if you dress the part, and bring a CD of your favorite song from the movie, we can work out all the other details for a unique winter-themed wedding for you. We can do amazing theatrical smoke effects, and you can pick your favorite movie character as minister! (Call our chapel to talk over ideas with one of our friendly and creative staff members…. 702-384-0771.)
Want a Dickens-themed winter wedding, with Ebenezer Scrooge presiding, and all the ghosts of other Christmases, and Victorian carolers? Invite friends and family to costume-up,too, and we’ll see what we can do to make this happen for your holiday-time wedding. Grinch, Elf, Home Alone, It’s a Wonderful Life weddings? Call us with your ideas and we will get creative together to make you a custom wedding package. 702-384-0771.
We’re still waiting for our first request from a couple to be married by Santa Claus with Mrs. Claus as matron of honor…. Book now for best days and times for your winter or holiday season wedding.
At Viva Las Vegas Weddings, we always look forward to our exciting New Year’s Eve wedding ceremonies. The Strip is closed down just after dark, so the entire boulevard can fill up with revelers awaiting the spectacular midnight fireworks show. This plays havoc with our limo service, so couples marrying in the evening have to make it to our chapel on their own. It’s well worth it, though. Nothing beats the excitement of a wedding on the last night of the year, and it’s an incredible way to begin a new year as man and wife!
New Year’s Eve is also a thrilling time to stage a marriage proposal. However, things can get a little out of control if the unsuspecting bride has already been into the bubbly before her man gets down on his knee at midnight. Check out one example, below. The happy lady ends up doing a happy dance on the couch. Don’t expect her to contain her feelings once she’s had a few pre-midnight toasts!
Wishing everyone love and much happiness in the year ahead… And don’t pop too many corks before popping the question, guys. 🙂
She said,” I Love you”, to her cardboard hunk, he said ( crickets sound off ). She has a ring, a bachelorette party, a wedding and a reception planned. She is so in love with Edward that she doesn’t mind that he’s quiet. He seems like a stand up guy. She is set to have her wedding, and cake, and eat it too. This lovely Las Vegas resident is about to say ‘I-do,” to a fellow she hardly knows.
Ok, well, she is writing her thesis and she is writing it about the female escapist fantasy in regards to love. She is about to wed the cardboard cutout of the dark and mysterious Edward Cullen from the Twilight series as a part of her project.
She has gained national attention with her story, and is about to stroll down the aisle at the world famous Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. We will be reporting on this Las Vegas “first,” right after the ceremony.
