Fall is in the air, and that means outdoor Las Vegas weddings are picking up, big time! Temperatures are gradually becoming ideal for daytime weddings in picturesque wedding landscapes surrounding Vegas. At Viva Las Vegas Weddings, you can book a unique outdoor wedding just minutes outside Las Vegas in the stunning Red Rock Canyon. You’ll travel there by limousine from your Las Vegas hotel, meeting your minister, photographer/videographer, and receiving your flowers and all the extras right at the site.
You won’t travel far, though, to be married in front of the classic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign, another of our destination wedding options. The sign is set on a landscaped median right on the Las Vegas Strip. Elvis marries you right on the spot, and your photographer arrives with flowers to meet your limousine, parked right there. Best of all, the glamorous hotels on Las Vegas Boulevard are right behind you, too, which can be even more striking at night when the neon lights come on! Not big on Elvis? Our Las Vegas Sign Wedding can be performed by a traditional minister, too.

Viva Las Vegas—and happy autumn wedding!
We don’t really do Christmas in July here at Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel, but it IS time to start planning your holiday wedding, if December suits your matrimonial schedule. Did you know that New Year’s Eve is second only to Valentine’s Day for a romantic Vegas wedding? Holiday time in general–especially Christmas Eve–makes for stunning traditional weddings that often feature red and white gowns, bouquets, bowties– accented with silver and gold, of course!
If you’re up for a more fun-filled holiday wedding, choose any of our Elvis Wedding Packages and add Santa and Mrs. Claus as backup dancers! They’ll appear in a cloud of fog behind our gold curtain as Elvis sings, “Santa Bring My Baby Back to Me.” The whole effect makes an awesome holiday surprise for your guests, especially anyone back home watching your ceremony streamed live online!
Not Elvis fans? You can opt to have Santa Claus himself perform your ceremony with holiday music in the background. (Maybe “Christmas Bride.” Perfect!) Just choose any of our Traditional Wedding packages and ask your friendly Viva Las Vegas wedding planner to substitute Santa as minister. Santa (and Mrs. Claus, too) can be added to any of our other Themed Weddings, too. Really adventurous couples will get a thrill out of mixing Darth Vader and Santa, the Bluez Brothers and Santa, or even Liberace and Santa. We can customize any aspect of your wedding you can imagine!
If you’re celebrating an anniversary in December and are planning a trip to Vegas, this is the lighthearted wedding vow renewal ceremony for you. Best of all, room rates in Las Vegas are at their lowest in December. Up until New Year’s, the crowds are a lot lighter in Las Vegas, too. Give us a call with questions and any assistance you may need in planning and booking a Viva Las Vegas Wedding for the holidays! 702-384-0771 Or visit us online at www.vivalasvegasweddings.com We’ll keep the mistletoe in the cooler until then!
Believe it or not, nearly half of our Viva Las Vegas Weddings ceremonies are full-on, traditional style weddings with most of the lovely bells and whistles of a church wedding back home. Some are very intimate affairs with just the couple, whether they’re eloping in secret or just wanting something personal. But–in case YOUR cozy wedding-for-two turns into a big one once everyone finds out you’re tying the knot in Vegas–our Main Chapel can comfortably seat nearly 100 guests. (It’s amazing how many friends and family members don’t mind a trip to Las Vegas for your wedding day!)
Whether you’re eloping to Vegas or it’s simply your wedding destination of choice, here are a few traditions you may (or may not) want to keep for your Viva Las Vegas Wedding. First–the ring! Did you know that about 70% of brides wear a traditional diamond ring on their left hand? Others opt for a sapphire, representing a happy and harmonious union, or an aquamarine stone that bodes for a long and prosperous union. We’ve also seen tattoos in place of precious metal rings, and even lollipop rings– when couples choose not to exchange “real” rings at all. (Your “traditional” style wedding can include only the elements that have meaning for YOU.) Your personal wedding coordinator will ask ahead of time if you’ll be exchanging rings. If not, the minister will work around this seamlessly.
A bit of Las Vegas trivia here! Priscilla Presley’s engagement ring was 3 1/2 carats! Your rings–and the size or presence of their stones– are a very personal choice, but just be sure to bring them to the chapel! (One bride lost her ring and the ceremony had to be performed without it. On the way back to her hotel in the limousine, the bride discovered the ring had gone down the front of her dress and lodged in her bra!)
Next–the dress! Wondering what to wear to your traditional Vegas wedding? Many brides still choose to wear white, a trend said to have been started by Queen Victoria in the mid-19th century. But in Las Vegas, that white is often in the form of a summery off-the-shoulder dress, or something a bit sassier. (We’ve even seen white bikinis for our clearly non-traditional Beach Party Themed Wedding!) But, in Las Vegas, where many weddings are distinctly different, brides wear almost any style or color down the aisle–even jeans, for a casual yet still “traditional” wedding.
Even in the most kicked-back of Viva Las Vegas Weddings, where jeans and even shorts are worn, brides often keep the veil, a traditional started in ancient Greece and believe to have protected brides from evil spirits.(You wouldn’t want that!) Brides in jeans (or bikinis) look fun and fabulous in a veil, and we even rent them here at the chapel. For more formal weddings, we also rent tuxes right on the premises!
At Viva Las Vegas Weddings, you also have the option of adding a traditional reception afterward, from a simple cake and champagne toast to elegant dining and dancing with live music at our adjacent Ron Decar’s Event Center. If you’re eloping and just want wedding cake for two to take back to your hotel, we do that, too, and we’ll pack it to-go!

You Viva Las Vegas Wedding Package takes care of everything, limousine transportation, flowers, photography, minister (even Elvis) are all provided as part of your package.
Before the scorching summer temperatures set in is the perfect time for a sunset wedding at nearby Red Rock Canyon! Your minister and photographer will meet you at a breathtaking vista point to perform and take pictures and video of your ceremony. Our limousine seats eight, so bring along guests, or, if you have a few more, you can choose to add an extra limo or two. Best of all, sunset ceremonies at Red Rock allow for a stunning view of the lights of the Las Vegas Strip as you are driving back after the wedding!
Viva Las Vegas Weddings also offers a choice of helicopter wedding packages! Get married WHILE in flight over the Las Vegas Strip, or, get married at our beautifully elegant chapel, then be whisked away for a post-wedding helicopter tour! Add all the options you wish…even Elvis! You’ll have incredible memories of this most unique of Las Vegas Weddings!
Our most fun off-site Las Vegas wedding takes place in front of the famous Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign! Elvis (with his sound equipment) meets your limousine there, accompanied by your photographer who also brings your flowers and video equipment. Elvis serenades you and your guests…plus a few tourists who are generally in disbelief at what they’re seeing. The crowds go wild when you kiss, with the sign and the scenic Las Vegas Strip in the background.
Couples who elope to Las Vegas, or even choose to renew their wedding vows in Las Vegas are most often coming to Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel for all the choices it affords! Our Elvis and Themed Weddings can include theatrical lights, smoke, powerful themed music, sets, costumes, and practically all the magic of a Hollywood production!
(We also do stately and romantic Traditional Weddings, but if you want smoke and special effects, you can always add them on!)
Last week we did a custom “Game of Thrones” style wedding, seen here. Lyndsay and Chris tied the knot amidst fog and dark pageantry–with a lot of laughter thrown in for good measure. If you don’t see a wedding package of your big screen dreams on our website (www.vivalasvegasweddings.com) feel free to let us know what you have in mind. We’ve done hundreds of customized weddings based on Hollywood movies, favorite TV shows, and even on fictional book characters. We love that kind of challenge and always do our best to make it happen for you!
Examples of weddings we have done in the past based on the silver or the small screen include: The Princess Bride, Harry Potter, Back to the Future (complete with DeLorean entrance!), The Addams Family, Bonnie and Clyde, The Great Gatsby, Grease, The Wizard of Oz, Austin Powers, Stars Trek and Wars, The Pink Panther (we call it the “Pink Diamond” Wedding), and many, many others.
Plus…we do Elvis Weddings! (And we’ve seen our share of Elvis appearances when “Darth Vader” is the minister, too. Fusion weddings are “a thing” now!)
Your movie-themed wedding will include themed music, lights and smoke, set and props, character minister, flowers, photography and video, plus round trip limousine service from your Strip or Downtown hotel. Upgrade with live streaming internet coverage so friends and family back home can make popcorn and watch from the couch!
For more about creating a custom movie or TV themed wedding just for you, give us a call anytime at 702-384-0771.
It’s looking like spring is coming early in Las Vegas, so if marriage is in the cards for the two of you, check out all the options for a unique Vegas wedding, Traditional, Elvis, or….?
St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Friday this year, so if you’re headed for a Las Vegas wedding, make it a lucky green one! Choose a leprechaun minister, or just order green roses, green ribbon, or a reception including green beer and green cake! We will customize your wedding, even adding an Irish jig down the aisle, if that’s what you’re wishin’—just ask!
Elvis Blue Hawaii and Beach Party weddings are popular springtime choices. You and your guests can wear tropical duds or beachwear in a wedding ceremony that includes an Elvis or surfer dude minister, beach fog, props and sets, theatrical lighting, music, flowers, photos, and even round trip limo service from your Strip or downtown hotel. Light, easy and breezy for a spring wedding!
Our Beach Party wedding includes two sun-tanned surfers to carry the bride down the aisle on a surfboard. The Blue Hawaii includes a hula girl to dance during Elvis’s rendition of the Hawaiian Wedding Song. SO romantic!
These are only a few ideas for your spring wedding, and we haven’t even mentioned our lovely Outdoor Gazebo and Garden Wedding packages for springtime. Have a look at all of our themed weddings, for spring, or any season, at www.vivalasvegasweddings.com
