Las Vegas weddings and our Marriage Bureau made the news last week when the 10,000th same-sex marriage license was issued in Clark County since the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals legalized same-sex marriage in the State of Nevada. The Marriage Bureau in Las Vegas began issuing licenses to same-sex couples in October of 2014.
Since the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel opened nearly 20 years ago, we’ve performed all of our Traditional, Elvis and Themed weddings as commitment ceremonies to all couples who wished to join their lives together but could not have legal documentation. Since 2014, we’ve been delighted to welcome ALL couples who wish to be legally wed in Las Vegas. (And, as always, we still do many, many wedding vow renewals and commitment ceremonies, which don’t require a license at all.)
