Best Money-Saving Tips for Your 2017 Viva Las Vegas Wedding!

Canyon wedding Las Vegas
Springtime wedding? Consider one of our outdoor chapels, or the Beautiful Red Rock Wedding!

If you’re planning to get engaged over the holidays, or already have plans to get married in Las Vegas in the New Year, have we got a few pointers for YOU! Whether you’re looking to save a little by comparing wedding packages, or to save A LOT in the long run by booking one of our all-inclusive indoor or outdoor Themed Weddings, we’re pretty sure you’ll find something just right for you and your wedding budget!

A few tips to share with you:

Traditional brides should know that wedding dresses go on sale nationwide in December! You can save up to 70% on your DRESS at this time of year, just because bridal shops are clearing out inventory to make room for the next year’s bridal fashions. (We know, you’re spending lots of money on the holidays already….But…just sayin’…)

Outdoor Vegas Wedding
Daytime outdoor weddings in our Garden and Gazebo Chapels are less expensive than the evening versions.

In spring and fall, our Outdoor Gazebo, Garden and Beautiful Red Rock weddings are very popular. Booking our outdoor weddings during daytime hours will save you some money over the evening packages, and you’ll benefit from the flattering natural light under the lush foliage that surrounds you during the ceremony. While our Red Rock Canyon wedding is more expensive, it includes EVERYTHING couples most want, with a fantastic limo ride into a spectacular desert setting just outside Las Vegas. It’s a LOT of bang for the wedding buck!

Next up, if you’re also looking to save money, schedule your Viva Las Vegas Wedding on a weekday. You will likely save money on Las Vegas room rates. Be sure to ask us about our weekday wedding specials like Traditional Tuesdays and Phantom (as in “of the Opera”) Fridays! You might also create your own bargain by selecting one of our simpler packages and adding only the upgrades and features that you really want! Our staff will be happy to steer you to customize your wedding and make it practical and economical to boot! (Give us a call, 702-384-0771.)

Another money saver? Consider booking a room downtown rather than on the Strip. Room rates tend to be lower, and there are several completely renovated hotels that are absolute stunners. Check out, for example, the Downtown Grand, the Golden Nugget, and the newly-refurbished Plaza. Your ride to our chapel is just minutes away, too, and you’ll be walking distance to the Marriage Bureau besides!

Simple Vegas wedding
Simple weddings are almost always the best!

While we DO offer elaborate Traditional Weddings with all the frills, and some fun, wild and crazy Elvis and Themed Weddings, bear in mind that keeping things simple is often not only less expensive, but sometimes even more memorable. No reception? We can send you back to your room with a little wedding cake just for the two of you, and maybe enough to share with a handful of guests. (Ask us about our wedding cake to-go.) Intimate and small weddings take on a lot of meaning, and you’ll find there’s more money for the fun honeymoon in Vegas to follow! Best wishes on your engagement, and we’ll see you for your 2017 wedding at Viva Las Vegas Weddings! www.vivalasvegasweddings.com

NFR Rodeo and Country Western Themed Weddings in Las Vegas!

Western Wedding Vegas
Here’s the perfect wedding for Country Western fans, rodeo fans, or fans of the sweet and simple!

Every year in early December, the National Finals Rodeo boot scoots into town, and all of Las Vegas goes COUNTRY! Including all of us at Viva Las Vegas Weddings, where we offer up the most amazing Western Themed weddings.

If you’re thinking about getting hitched during NFR, or if you want to renew your vows for an upcoming anniversary, Viva Las Vegas Weddings has you covered. Our customizable Country/Western Themed Wedding is guaranteed to knock your boots off! The package includes a hitchin’post setting, lights and theatrical fog, flowers, photography, video, even round-trip limo service from your Las Vegas hotel.

You’ll have a choice of character ministers for your ceremony, too– a cranky coal miner, a dashing cowboy, or even a Johnny Cash impersonator to do the honors and sing one of his famous hits. Just let us know what you’re hankering for in your country-style wedding ceremony.

Our Western-themed wedding package includes one country song to be performed live during the unity candle lighting. Popular choices are: “I Cross My Heart,” “I Swear,” or “Keeper of the Stars.” (Johnny Cash impersonator weddings can choose a Johnny Cash favorite instead!) There won’t be a dry eye in the chapel once the music starts. Some couples prefer to bring their own music on a CD. That’s fine, too. Please tell us ahead of time so we can have it all set up for you.

In addition, your favorite country ballad can be played as the bride strolls down the aisle. For the recessional, you consider the Electric Slide or a Boot Scootin’ Boogie with friends and family. Just like at your favorite country bar, we’ll take requests. You can have your ceremony streamed live online for the folks back home, too, in case they’re not in town for the event.

Choosing Your Viva Las Vegas Weddings Bridal Bouquet

Las Vegas wedding flowers
Choose your colors, choose your ribbon color, or even upgrade to an exotic customized bouquet!

Once you’ve picked either a Traditional, Elvis or Themed Wedding at Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel, you’ll want to select the color of the flowers included with your package. However simple your wedding package, you can always choose to upgrade to a more elaborate or customized bouquet if you like. Our amazing onsite florists can accommodate special requests, too. For example, if you’d like a hand-tied bouquet with a particular color ribbon to match your color scheme, just let us know when you book your wedding.

If you’re having a Themed Wedding, consider having your bouquet styled to match the theme. Elvis Blue Hawaii Wedding Package? Upgrade to our Bali Hai cascade and select a tropical flower for the boutonniere. Alternatively, you can order fresh orchid leis! Having a Gothic Theme? We can do black roses, or perhaps a nice black and blood- red floral mix.

Remember to consider the color of the bride’s dress when choosing your flowers. White against white sometimes doesn’t provide the brilliant contrast in photos that brighter colors do. A good solution is to ask for a colorful ribbon tie, or contrasting colors of flowers mixed into the bouquet.

Yellow roses are a popular choice for more casual Elvis or themed weddings.

Look for a future profile about our incredible staff florists very soon! (They design custom arrangements for celebrities all the time!) Questions? The Most Romantic Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas

Vegas Wedding Chapel
A cherubic fountain lights the way to the altar at Viva Las Vegas’s Main Chapel

Among all the free-standing wedding chapels along the Las Vegas Strip, we truly believe ours is the warmest, the most welcoming and the MOST romantic. It’s elegant enough for the most traditional of ceremonies, but can be transformed for one of our fun and frolicking Themed Weddings in just minutes. We are also the largest free-standing chapel in Las Vegas, seating all your guests comfortably in our Main Chapel. No guests? You’ll have this dramatic setting all to yourselves!

Since it’s hard to get a feel for the chapel in posed shots of wedding parties taken with flash photography, we thought we’d post some natural-light images of the empty chapel, to give you an idea of the view and lighting when you are really here!

Pews flank both sides of the aisle, with palm trees creating a tropical, garden-like ambiance. (If you REALLY want a garden wedding, though, visit our website to have a look at our Garden and Outdoor Gazebo Chapels—just as romantic, but open-air and surrounded by lush foliage year ’round! www.vivalasvegasweddings.com Look for Traditional Weddings on our drop-down menu at the top of the homepage.)

Evening weddings benefit most in the romance department with candlelight ceremonies, but daytime weddings find the chapel filled with flattering filtered light from above. If you’re planning a Traditional Wedding and want to make it more lavish than simple, our on-site florist can create additional floral arrangements for the pews or the altar, color-co-ordinated to your wedding colors. Just ask for pricing when you call to book your wedding with us, or live chat with us on our website, anytime!

Prices for our Traditional Wedding Packages in this Main Chapel begin at under $300, including flowers and photography. We think you won’t find a more romantic (and reasonably-priced) spot to tie the knot in all of Las Vegas!

A Beautiful Remembrance of Lost Loved Ones at a Viva Las Vegas Wedding

A framed portrait near the altar
A lovely framed portrait near the altar

Today we were moved almost to tears by an endearing addition to an Elvis Blue Hawaii wedding ceremony. Hal and Marianne of Austin, Texas found a beautiful way to include departed family members in their special day. Marianne came down the aisle (escorted by Elvis singing “Can’t Help Falling in Love”), then placed floral leis on life-sized photographs of her father and son, standing near the altar. The bride also placed a third lei on a framed portrait of her mother. The cheerfulness of the colorful, lighted leis and smiling guests all around made it seem like a gesture of great happiness and love.

The couple brought along 30-plus guests from Texas, Chicago, and even Las Vegas, all dressed in their tropical best for the occasion. After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed cake and champagne before leaving Viva Las Vegas Chapel–and apparently they had a full evening of wine-ing and dining ahead of them on the fabulous Las Vegas Strip!

We were grateful to Hal and Marianne for letting us share their very touching idea with others. We’re pretty sure many folks out there might want to do something similar for their weddings or wedding vow renewals, and we are happy to work with you to make it happen. We’ve rarely seen such a heartfelt way to express the joy and love of family.

Best wishes for Hal and Marianne for a happy lifetime together! We felt honored to be a part of your day.
