If you’re in town for the Rockabilly Weekender coming up later in the week, there’s no better time to get married by Elvis, a Rockabilly minister, or a traditional minister right at the car show. Or, choose instead an incredible themed wedding (Elvis or otherwise) at our Viva Las Vegas Chapel or 50s Doo Wop retro diner. You can even be driven right into the chapel by Elvis in his ’64 vintage pink Cadillac convertible.
Be sure to call the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel to make reservations for these wedding packages at 702-384-0771. Please Note: These wedding specials are only valid on April 4th, 2015. See you at the show! (Not here for the Weekender? We do Elvis and Rockabilly weddings any day of the year. We’ll customize your ceremony so that it’s exactly what you have in mind!)
Even if you don’t find your favorite superhero wedding package on our site at Viva Las Vegas Weddings, all you have to do is call us (or email, or chat online with us) to make a special request for a customized package featuring the super-officiant of your choice. We can work out all the details to make the perfect Las Vegas wedding or wedding vow renewal for you. www.vivalasvegasweddings.com
We had the MOST fun at a Batman wedding vow renewal this month, but we can’t quite do it as much justice here as the couple who wrote about it recently on TripAdvisor. We were delighted that they were so pleased, and we’ll share their review so we don’t have to toot our own horn. We think the best way to see if a ceremony is what you’re looking for is to read what others have to say about it.
“Last night we celebrated 15 years of marriage by renewing our vows here. I guess I thought everything would be as minimal and skimpy as possible, but it absolutely was not. After reading reviews to get a better sense of what it would be like, we booked it. Our two teens were our wedding party. We had no other guests. We got the superhero package and upgraded to have Batman officiate. By email, phone and in person, the staff were very clear on the details and they answered all my questions. We waited by sitting on a bench and watching the prior party go by, complete with a gorgeous Elvis in black. When it was our turn, Chris our coordinator answered all our questions and let us practice walking because my teen son was pretty nervous. The staff made sure that we had a real ceremony with all the traditional vows and poses and things like exchanging rings and lighting a candle. We bought bouquets and boutonnieres and I was delighted how generous and fresh they were. Chris explained how to stand and pose to maximize the video and photos. Batman was very sweet, in character but also with a sense of humor. My husband and I felt like we really had a sacred space to rededicate ourselves to one another and that it wasn’t all a gag. Our limo driver Sean was polite, on time and helpful. We chatted with him after the ceremony and as a member of the team there at Viva Las Vegas, he told us stories about how even in creative and outrageous ceremonies, people are really getting married and there are always special and beautiful moments. I feel like the staff and the photographer were willing to help us maximize the moment, wish us well and cheer us on. My only criticism was the photos are really pricey but that’s just part of the business. No one tricked us or hid that from us.”

Our apologies about photo pricing. We wish we could be cheaper, but it helps us keep our wedding packages affordable while maintaining our Las Vegas Strip location. Dang. We will happily negotiate with couples who want to bring in their own photographer. Sometimes that saves some money.
Best wishes to this happy family for many more years of happiness. You all super-made our day at Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel! Batman sends his regards.
Amy and Scott asked for our Intergalactic Themed Wedding, but wanted something decidedly unique for their original Las Vegas space-themed wedding. No Darth Vader, no Captain Quirk. An alien abduction. We customized their Viva Las Vegas wedding package, no problem, bringing in a space alien minister, as requested. But, we didn’t know they’d show up in pajamas and slippers for their very own “Alien Abduction” wedding ceremony! Okay, we ‘get it’ now….What a GREAT idea for a wedding!
They came just the two of them, and were wed amidst candlelight, smoke, and space-y music. Their alien minister had to use the universal translator to be understood during the vow exchange. This female creature from space had to watch the time, though, since she was due back at Area 51 to catch her ship on its way out of the galaxy. We can’t remember when we’ve ever had so much fun, or when we saw two people so very much in love. Amy and Scott’s aura of exuberance and shared souls were truly inspirational. We loved every minute!
Scott and Amy exchanged lighted lollipop rings and joined in on an alien celebration dance, a ritual on the planet Zabevief 5. Hey, thank goodness the Intergalactic Wedding package includes photos and video coverage, for evidence later that it really took place!
Check out all of our themed and traditional or Elvis weddings at www.vivalasvegasweddings.com If you don’t find a wedding that’s quite right for you, do what Scott and Amy did, and invent your own. We’d be delighted to help.
Wishing Amy and Scott all the best wishes in the universe for a lifetime of fun and love ahead!
For a unique and exotic wedding in Las Vegas, you can’t beat our Egyptian Themed Wedding package. We were delighted last week when Gerardo and Carin tied the knot “along the Nile”–and especially when we heard it was Carin’s lifelong dream to be married this way. She even made the costumes herself!
We’ll let them tell their story, as they did so beautifully on their Viva Las Vegas wedding website where the ceremony was streamed live on the Internet:
“After 44 years of her life & 46 years of his life: Carin & Gerardo finally found the love of their lives! Their beginning started when they met in Gold Coast Chicago at Burger Saloon in 2012. Carin fell head over heels over the captivating beauty of Gerardo. They exchanged contact info & the journey began. Gerardo was eager to impress Carin, and Carin fell for his passion, honesty, security & most of all his remarkable natural beauty of love & character of manhood. Gerardo was intrigued with Carin’s uniqueness & flare of art & being a strong willed woman…. We have realized our energy together is so strong we have decided to join hands in holy matrimony.”
Carin explains, “He makes me feel like a queen, and he says I make him feel like he is my king.” For their Egyptian themed wedding in Vegas, the pair were royally decked out in all their Egyptian finery, as the lovely Carin came down the aisle, borne aloft on Cleopatra’s throne by two hunky Egyptian attendants. Carin’s bridesmaids looked gorgeous, too, in their colorful robes accented in gold awaiting her arrival in the foggy, candlelit chapel.
Carin continues, “We decided on a Vegas Wedding because we wanted a simple, small but one-of-a-kind unique Egyptian-style Wedding. Our family & friends reside in many states with Vegas being a perfect central location for ones who are able to join us. Our Spirit is a commitment of love, trust and happiness forever & will be one of the most memorable days of our lives in Vegas! We hope you can join us in Vegas or via the internet. Love Always!”
We wish Carin and Gerardo love always, and a lifetime of happiness full of memories of their perfectly planned and stunning Egyptian wedding in Las Vegas! For more information on our Egyptian themed wedding ceremony, visit: http://www.vivalasvegasweddings.com/egyptian_wedding.htm
We thought we’d seen every kind of themed wedding here at Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel until Wiki and Cedric of New Zealand requested a custom themed wedding modeled after the movie “The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert.” It took some doing, but over time, we made all the arrangements long distance. Jimmy Emerson, former star of the La Cage show at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas, pitched in to help. By arranging a professional makeup artist, Ashley, and borrowing costumes from Jimmy’s amazing female impersonator wardrobe, together we got the job done!
Wiki and Cedric met seven years ago on a P & O Love Boat (from the ACTUAL TV series!) cruise in the South Pacific. (The two of them gush, “How romantic is THAT?”) After the wedding, the couple will spend three days visiting San Francisco, then it’s off to honeymoon aboard another luxury cruise ship sailing around Hawaii for seven blissful days. We are thrilled for them! What a way to top their unique drag-queen-themed extravaganza of a wedding!
Wiki and Cedric arrived early for their pampering makeup sessions in our Elvis and Priscilla Suite behind the wedding chapel. Professional makeup artist, Ashley, pulled out all the stops–and the glitter– to magically transform both bride and groom into visions of loveliness. (Visit our website, link below, to find out more about deluxe bridal packages that include hair and makeup and all the frills.)
Cedric tells us about his proposal: “We owned an organic farm in Matakana. Our children worked at a local vineyard/ restaurant which had an intimate dining area beside a little lake. It was secluded with curtains, illuminated with candles and as the dusk fell I proposed to her. The ring was special too. When Wiki described her mum’s engagement ring, it sounded identical to my mum’s ring. I found the perfect ring handcrafted antique with rubies and diamonds, just like our mothers!”
Cedric, the groom, watches as his bride-to-be is made up right before the ceremony.
Wiki and Cedric said they decided on Las Vegas as a wedding destination because they could have the specialty theme they were looking for. Plus, “How better to get married when the honeymoon/holiday is part of the wedding!”
Wiki and Cedric, all dolled up for their Queen of the Desert wedding extravaganza.
For more info on a similar– or completely different custom Las Vegas themed wedding– go to: www.vivalasvegasweddings.com Best wishes for a lifetime of happiness for Wiki and Cedric. We will not soon forget you and all the fun you brought to Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel! And a HUGE thank you to Jimmy and Ashley, for making this wedding fantasy possible!
