What To Do If You Wake Up Married in Las Vegas!

Elvis Pink Caddy wedding in Vegas
Nearly all of our Viva Las Vegas Weddings are intentional, no matter how fun and crazy!

Every time you see a movie or TV show about Las Vegas, it seems like couples get inebriated and end up getting married while barely conscious. Right. Despite the reputation of Las Vegas weddings, we can assure you that this is one of those media fabrications. Sorry to disappoint you with a dose of cold reality. 😉 If you wake up in a Las Vegas hotel room with a ring on your finger, chances are very good that you meant to do it. Besides, at Viva Las Vegas Weddings, we can always tell how much love and planning have gone into our wedding ceremonies. You can spot true love a mile away.

Even though getting a marriage license in Las Vegas is quick and easy, and even though there’s no blood test or waiting period, Las Vegas wedding ministers simply won’t marry you if you are falling down drunk. You won’t just stumble into a chapel without a license and get married, either. You’ll still have to go downtown to the Marriage Bureau first, and the folks behind the counter will raise an eyebrow if you can’t hold a pen. Thank heavens those of us in the wedding business in Las Vegas are looking out for your best interests. Of course what else you do here is up to you…. One of our fantastic Elvis impersonators (if you’ve already been married here, maybe Roland married YOU!) appeared in Katy Perry’s “Waking Up in Vegas” music video, if you’d like to see evidence of the perpetuation of this wackadoodle Las Vegas marriage myth. It’s spoofy and camp, but not exactly what a Las Vegas wedding is really all about, in our experience. But, enjoy it anyway–Las Vegas really is this fun! Here’s the link:
