Ring a Ding Ding the New Year with Viva Las Vegas

Ring in the new year, ring in a new life in 2012. Get married in 2012.

2012 is the year of the Dragon. The celestial Dragon signifies success and happiness according to the Chinese Zodiac calendar. The Dragon is described as the mightiest sign of this ancient calendar. The year of the Dragon is also considered to be a leap year. So, if my calculations are correct, and I am reading this right…I see Las Vegas in 2012 as being one very lucky place to be.

New Years Eve weddings can be incredibly romantic in this great city. So far, our weather has been incredible. A sweater or light coat in the evening is all you need to sustain the bit of a chill that we have been enjoying. Why the weather has been so delightful, that our Outdoor Garden and Gazebo are still in full matrimonial swing in the month of December.

An afternoon or early ceremony is ideal and dreamy. Las Vegas is famous for closing down the Las Vegas Strip around 5 pm and the fun begins from one end of the strip to the other. Pedestrians are allowed to stroll down the boulevard with no traffic until the fabulous firework extravaganza begins at the stroke of midnight. As the countdown to 2012 begins, an enormous and beautiful display of fireworks light up the sky here in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada from the roof tops of our casinos to say goodbye to 2011-and Hellooooooo to 2012. Cheers…

Cheers to ya!

Upgrading your Wedding Bridal Bouquet for your Special Day

A Regal Calla Lilly Bridal Bouquet

Are you searching for the perfect Bridal Bouquet? Flowers speak of our personalities in reference to our likes and dislikes. Why your bridal bouquet just may be the first indication you may give your Groom,(hint-hint) of the type of flower that you prefer.

During the Victorian era, gestures and symbols were used to communicate and convey a particular message to someone, flowers were used to send those wishes and messages. So, it is no surprise that flowers do not stand alone on their beauty. Why they have a language of their own. For instance, Calla Lillies are said to be regal. Different colored roses have different meanings. The pink rose says friendship, whereas the red rose says passionate love. Daisies mean innocence, while sunflowers stand for adoration.

Why not upgrade your existing bridal bouquet to your favorite type of flower and color to make your day extra special, while also secretly sending a message to your handsome Groom for upcoming birthdays, anniversaries and those “just because” moments? Viva Las Vegas Weddings hand crafts beautiful bridal bouquets daily for your special occasion. Floral arrangements may be made just by speaking to one of our friendly wedding planners at 702-384-0771.

Twas the Night Before Christmas…

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the city. Las Vegas is stirring and Brides are looking pretty. The Groom and his men are all dressed in their best, and the chapels are waiting for the list of their guests. They arrive and its festive, and the celebration begins, while a couple is married, a new life begins.

Pictured below, is my Bride pick of the week from Akron, Ohio. This stunning couple was married on Christmas Eve in our lovely Outdoor Gazebo.  Kim and Charles

Bride & Groom of the Week

were friends in high school and were fellow high school band mates. I know they will make beautiful music together. They enjoyed an intimate ceremony surrounded by loved ones.

As their chauffeur, I have to say..I too had a wonderful time escorting their family members to the wedding chapel. I’m just glad they stayed at the South Point hotel and not the North Pole hotel (hee-hee). Thanks also, to the children who kept me so entertained singing Christmas carols in route to the chapel-that was really special. Best wishes to you both, and congrats on inspiring me to crown you Bride and Groom of the week, you made my Christmas Eve quite merry and bright.

The “Viva Elvis Show” at The Aria left me Crying at the Chapel

Oh no, say it isn’t so.. MGM Mirage Resorts just announced that The Viva Elvis show at the Aria hotel will be closing in 2012. First of all I am a local who went to see this incredible show last month and could not stop raving about it. This show was phenomenal. Especially if you are an Elvis fan. I am an Elvis fan, just not a fanatic, but I truly loved the show.

I work at the best Elvis Chapel in the city and we have 2 pink Cadillac’s and several Elvis’ to strike your fancy, for weddings , vow renewals and commitment ceremonies so I have to say..I am just so disappointed… why they left me crying in the chapel.

If you are an Elvis fan, and you want to make your wedding an Elvis wedding weekend to remember, I suggest you do it in 2012, before the years end, and the closing of  The Viva Elvis Show at the Aria Hotel. Just wanted to inform you folks that are out there who were considering that 48 hours of pure Elvis wedding weekend.

Sad to pass on the news… but we will be here for ya at Viva Las Vegas Weddings for your Elvis nuptials. To view our fabulous wedding packages go to www.VivaLasVegasWeddings.com or dial us up at 701-384-0771. We look forward to serving you.
